Armin fuckin ROCKED!(11/15/03 Review Thread)
Armin destroyed me, and almost every person at the club. It was the best set i've heard from him personally. And he was loving it.
I ended up getting up right into the front center after about an hour. And then stayed there the rest of the night. He noticed this, and ended up giving me the 1st burned with desire album he gave out. And then toward the end, he gave me a Universal Religion - Chapter One, mix CD of his =P. I got them both signed at the end. And brian(vtec) should have a really shitty picture of me holding both of them inside the club from his camera phone thing..
Anyway, pretty good TA show-up. I unfortunately couldn't make it to the meet-up though =/ but I heard it went pretty well with around 20ish people.
Armin started his set off around 133 BPM(counted hehe)with lots of proggish stuff, and toward the end it was closer to 140ish. He just had great track selection and was into it the whole time. The crowd was kinda dead at times, but he just pumped em back up, and it was sucha great night.
the ONLY bad thing about the night, was the fucking retards. I got punched in the head about 20 times(at least), I got pushed around by 2 or 3 of KingSolara's friends(so fuckin annoying). King Solara was not actin this way though, which was cool. This girl and her boyfriend continuously pushed up to the front of the booth and she ended up climbing on stage(right in front of the dj booth, just because armin gave her a thumbs up--which does not mean "come up and molest me") She ended up repeating this 3 more times, and the bouncers were getting rather annoyed. One of them yelled at the boyfriend and told him to keep her down or he'd get in trouble.
I ended up having to fight for my position in the crowd(front and center), and some people were bein jerks about it, so i kept jabbing them in the ribs until they would go away.
Oh, and if you read this, starwarssteve, I think it was you standing next to me up front. You were getting freakin raped by those dickholes behind you. I wanted to punch them the whole time. Freakin douchebags.
Gah, Armin had such a great set and a good vibe overall for the night. But the retards who interfered and acted like morons took away from the perfectness. I'll give it a 9/10. definite 10/10 if the people in the crowd weren't fuckin pushing all the time 
But yeah, SO fun, and only reason i'm going to sleep is because I have a headache =P. But my legs still dont hurt somehow hehe.

ok, i am way to f*cked up to really do a proper review, but since i just got back, i felt it necessary to post something. Cougar is completely wrecked and somehow drove home, but we are both alive and well, unbelieveable. Going to sleep the entire sunday away. All I can say for now...."your lucky star, your singing satellite." OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I never say that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok here goes my feeble attempt to post a review. I still have not gone to sleep yet, and it is 1 in the afternoon. Damn what a great night!!!! The dinner meetup was awesome. Great to finally put some faces to a lot of TA's. Kaiyla, I don't think I can say it enough, Thanks for organizing such a wonderfull meetup. I had a total blast! Got my album sampler signed and pics with Armin. Glad to meet all the TA's even if i didn't get a chance to talk to you. Arturo, bobba lou, joel, erin, mario, ian, everyone that was there! Bo & Domenick, u guys are really cool. Awesome meeting you too. Hope you had a great time at Glow, you'll have to come back again soon. Pete, thanks for coming, i was actually suprised u knew who I was! Thanks! Armin is really great guy, it was awesome getting time to chat with him, he is so good to his fans. I think that this meetup was more than successful, it was incredible. Good turnout, about 30 or so people, so it wasn't the mob scene that it could have been. Everyone was very polite and respectful. Hopefully we can do more of these in the future, even if the dj doesn't come, it's always good getting TA's together outside the club. God, I met so many people, I know I'll forget a lot of names, because I am awful with names. But if I forget to mention you, I apoligize, I still haven't slept.
Armin's set was hot! I can't remember too much of it, I think it was the sake at Cafe Asia that did me in for the night. But I know the mixing was on, and the tracks were really good. Must say I didn't recognize very many tracks though. Is it just me, or did last night fly by way to quickly? Normally, for me anyway, after 3am usually goes really slowly, but last night, seemed like Armin took the decks and it felt like I was dancing for about 5 minutes, then I looked at my watch and it was after 5 am. So that kinda sucked for me. Mario, awesome talking to you for a while again man, you're cool! Sergio!!! Hell f-ing yea, Helluva Night!!!!! Rick & Mary, it was nice meeting both of you, I had a blast, and I'll try and call you guys this week! Amber! I know u had a great time!! :beerchug: I was definitely feeling the same by the end of the night. Glitter and Sky, and jerzy girl, sorry I didn't see you til the end of the night, but I had a blast chatting on the phone early this morning, damn was I messed up or what!?!?:hammer: And Brian! hahaha, whoa, what a morning. Hope you all had blast partying this morning back at the hotel. Hopefully I'll catch you on IM this week. Shouts to all those people I mentioned, awesome time living it up last night! I may add to this post later when I can remember more of the night, but for now, most of it is a blur. Can only remember a few songs right now, like I said, didn't recognize too many. But once again, Armin made all of us melt by dropping Oceanlab - Sky falls Down 
I never get sick of hearing that at glow. And he played the new Oceanlab - Satellite (Markus Shultz Coldharbor Remix) OMG TUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At first I was a little reluctant to that tune, but hearing it on the way down to dc changed my mind...and now on the club soundsystem....ohhh yea..."your lucky star, your singing satellite"... 
Did he play sanctuary? Am I dreaming? Ouch, such a blur....fill me in people!!!!!!!!!!!
oh i almost forgot. that was a great crowd last night. Not too many people at all, it was perfect. Anyone see the pretty girls dan and I were chatting with at the back bar? I don't know what happened to them later. It was their first time at Glow, and remember asking if it was their first Armin show and their response was "who's Armin?" WTF? they had no clue about what a great night they were witness to. NEwayz, they were fine, and I wouldn't mind running into them again.

Great seeing Erin, Aaron, Mario, Brian, Beema and Sergio again. It was great meeting Sammy6979, Arturo, Bo & Domenic, Amber, Kailya, Ian, Joel, Jane, and anyone I forgot.
Such a good set last night. I sleep now 
OMG I had a fuckin blast lastnight, I felt bad to miss tha meet-up. I just woke up but damn my ears and legs are just fuckin dead. Armin did a KO on me.Well this is my fourth time seeing Armin and I always had a blast with at Glow so wasn;t surpised that he was gonna blow me away since he likes the Glow crowd.Now this has to got be the best FREAKIN SET I ever heard from him or just the best in Glow.
I no problem with tha crowd neither seems like everyone was enjoying there self and WOW there was space to shake your ass lol.No pushing or anything wild I guess, it was just my lucky then(Sorry Srezic & surferrfb about those fuckin gooberts).I was Glad to hear

Into the club, wow!Armin just knocked us all flat! i didnt try to push up to the front coz like U said Ryan there was a lot of douchebags trying to push their way forward! so i said screw it and just hung back! but i still had a nice spot, no fuckin retards trying to elbow or anything.

i had one of the most amazing nights ever -- the tracklist was just nasty, the vibe was incredible and it was so great to see/meet everyone

now that i'm done with that...armin was on fire. everything he did was golden. loved the track selection and definetely loved his excitement from start to finish. he really does love glow. the crowd was good size and the vibe was decent. DAN SAMPSON!!!! i don't know what to say. if you don't get there early to hear this guy spin then you are ASS OUT (and besides, it's the only time you actually have room to dance up front.) great set from dan the man as always.

Both dom and I had awesome night (he will post his version/review later)!!! It was real great meeting and talking to everybody! Just got back after a 5 hour drive stuck in traffic but it was well worth it. Hope you guys liked elevation...still wondering who caught the vinyl i threw into the crowd Here are some boring pics of us in DC and driving up for those that dont know what we look like...wish i had more of everyone else but i didnt bring my camera into the club. Cant wait till arturo and redeye post their pics It just sucks that the party's over and its back to real life...not for long, we must all party again soon!

Armin rocked my world...got very very disappointed when he spun "born slippy"...God, i hate that track anymore...got a lil more disappointed when he spun "time of our lives" and "beautiful things"
Liked the atmosphere a lot, lots of cool people - but kinda pissed that a lot of sturdy looking guys would thrust their way in front of you, then not dance and prevent you from doing so
took a lot of work getting down there...got to philly, didn't have my license, found an auto body shop open till 4:30, got there at 4:29, got my temp. license and took off...
after tha partay, went to the monument and camped out right beside it, smoked...

went to the reflecting pool and hallucinated my face off
but it actually wasn't a reflecting pook, it was sand/orangish-dirt filled coral surrounded my baricades or something...
proceeded to drive around the city without having a clue where we were going...
We started driving home and the directions said some street to start off from but we didn't have a clue where that street was so we just started driving down all the major highways that kept like splitting and we would get to these forks and just be like "hmmm, ok let's go this way"
It was a good time until we realized that this was dangerous...freaked out, but looked up and the street we were looking for was right there
p.s. -> oh yes, then i almost had an orgasm cuz taking my shoe off felt so damn good

ahh yes, I must write this before I pass out...just got off a 9 hour work shift starting at 11am :fpissed:
First of all, the meetup/dinner with Armin went great. I love Cafe Asia as usual, although this one was a bit different than the one near me (unisex bathrooms...lol) and service was shitty, heh. Anyways, thanks to Ian, arturo, kaiyla, all who made it possible. It wasn't all crowded as I had expected, and everything ran quite smoothly. Armin was his great amiable, down-to-earth self as usual. He was very gracious and stuck around long after he was schedualed to leave. He was there from about 9:15 - 10pm, chatting with everyone, signing autographs, and taking lots of pictures. I definatly had a great time there, nice meeting Filo & Perri too! Thanks for everything Armin!
I got to Glow around 11:45 with my girlfriend, and when I got inside, I was pleasantly suprised to see that it was not too packed There was plenty of space to dance and move the entire night...phew...
Armin played a great, energetic set as usual, and was very cheerful the entire time. I was shocked to see him finally wearing something other than a white shirt! 
I jumped for joy when he began his set with Clear Blue
I thought his set overall was pretty good, but that it starteD out really good and got more predictable/boring towards the middle/end...but maybe that's just how Im feeling about trance in general these days.
a few down points of my night, aside from being exhausted the entire time..
did anyone else notice how fucked up Glow's sound was that night? The bass was very overpowering, drowning out the mids, and the sound overall was very distorted...it was too loud even with earplugs in 
another personal downpoint for me was that I didn't get to go in the DJ booth....I know this probably sounds trivial to most people, but it is just a dream of mine to be in the DJ booth while Armin is spinning...Armin has been one of my favorite DJs for a very long time now, and I follow his work almost religiously. I've seen him at Glow 6 times now, and I have never been able to get in the DJ booth....and seeing loads of other people, many of whom are just drunken retards wanting attention, just made me really depressed , especially since I promote for Glow, I'd figure I'd have more of a chance of getting up there than some random person...but I guess you gotta be a hot girl . BTW, who was that fat mother****** "guarding" the right hand side of the booth...he is a total douche.
anyways, blah blah blah.... here's the damn tracklist, and I will post pictars from the dinner lator.
btw, at the dinner, Armin told us that he wasn't allowing Glow to record this set and that he would NOT broadcast it on ASOT either because of all the exclusive material in it (me wants to know, what exclusive material? it isn't any more exclusive than his previous sets...or DJ tiestos for that matter...plus he plays all these tracks on ASOT anyways
