Nice pics...I see the back of my fat gourd in there once or twice. Was a cool show...I enjoyed it.
Did you get a frontal shot of the chick with the fake breasts wearing just a bra (last pic)....that was an interesting sight to say the least lol.

anyone have a tracklisting or audio rip of this do they?
also, porky, sorry if I disappeared when you went to get water, I got tired of waiting, and we found DJ2kTA and some other TAs up front
I had a blast...
made it back to PDX and have been up for 31 hours ...thanks for the meet-up peeps. Good way to show a west-side old geezer a good time.
p.s. got a great shot of my wrist in one of those "close-ups"
Mr. S & I positively identified my watch...
*slump*
zzzzzzzzzz
I must say now (since I am just sitting at my computer waiting for archives to be zipped and discs to finish burning
) what I thought of the whole shebang since it was my first time at one of these shindigs.
It was a great time overall. The guy to girl ratio was a bit skewed to the sausage-fest side (I was expecting a lot more balance to be totally honest). But I really went to hear the music and see if my head would explode (thankfully it did not
). The TA meetup worked out ok after the whole no reservation/big line snafu (I did not get to introduce myself to most of the people but if you didn't figure it out I was the guy drinking all the beer at the end of the big table
) But those of you I did meet were cool and I definitely had a good time with both the meetup and the show. I think I will have to break the leftover slice o pizza out soon, am getting kinda hungry hehe.
I, being a noob, have no idea what the track names were, but I did actually recognize abotu 85% of what he played from mixes I have heard so that was cool. I thought the energy level overall was pretty good, but I am not a great judge. Sorry I could not keep with you TA guys up in the front but my legs started to burn abotu an hour into PVD and I take up a little too much space to be just standing and bobbing my head while ther people are jumping around me up front.
Bah I am babbling and stuff. But ya I had a good time just kinda bummed we weren't able to get a pic at the meetup or the club but oh well. PhloTron said he was really glad he cam out when I dropped him off at O'Hare at 7 and I am glad he came out cause otherwise I never would have gone without someone I already knew previously. (big chicken I am
).
Good times were had by me

it was an awesome show, but it was WAY TOO PACKED in there
i would have had a LOT more fun if i wasn't getting trampled by huge guys and being pushed back and forth. we tried going down onto the dance floor which proved to be a disaster, so we sorta hung out by one of the side bars, which was okay.
another downer, we got there around 12:30, and the line for coat check was all the way back to the bar. and it wasn't moving ANYWHERE. so instead of standing in line, i decided i wasn't parked TOO far away, so i just ran my jacket back to the car. the security guard gave us a bit of a hassle at first but then she told us it was okay and that we could come back in.
it was a good night, but i don't think i'll be making it out to many more sold out shows. i think i had more fun @ Ferry last weekend because i was actually able to dance and move around instead of feeling like a sardine in a can.
anyway... here's some tracks i remember, not sure of the order though:
Paul van Dyk vs Second Sun - Crush
Agnelli & Nelson pres. Ultra - Holding On To Nothing
Modulation - Spirits (Cosmicman Remix)
Paul van Dyk Feat. Vega 4 - Time Of Our Lives (Paul van Dyk Club Mix)
Paul van Dyk - Nothing But You
Paul van Dyk Feat. Vega 4 - Time Of Our Lives (album version or acapella?)
encore: Crush (remix?)
ummmm yeah so i suck at ID-ing tracks, lol... but there ya go.
oh yah, another high point of the night was hearing one of the openers play Chable & Bonicci - Ride (not sure who was spinning at that point)
i hope Paul makes it to Milwaukee soon. at the last moment i thought that i should have worn a shirt that said "PAUL - COME TO MILWAUKEE!", haha...
btw this was my first time partying sober (was drinkin water all night) and it was a blast!
and it made the drive home to milwaukee sooooo much easier.
hehe good times to be had... lol love how everyone thinks i'm on some controlled substance or drunk off my ass =p. Chable & Bonicci - Ride (not sure who was spinning at that point
oh yeah by the way whats the first track pvd played ive heard it in a few of his sets and cant think oif the name.
Chable & Bonicci - Ride oh man how i love this track! dont remember who span this before pvd but man did it rock
I had a great time last night. So did my gf, her sis, and my brother, and cousin. It was nice to meet some new TA's like Mr. Squirrel, Phlotron, Lunasea, Shagvenger. And to see jdat, solo d-1 and everyone else again. The dinner went smooth once we got inside. Good pizza as always
.
HOB was packed but its PvD, so its expected. I wish there was more room to move around cos my feet were killin me.
I can add a few tracks...
PvD - Another Way
PvD - Nothing But You(which mix?)
PvD - Time of our Lives (Time to Chill mix) or whatever its called
Nu Nrg - Connective
Three Drives - Carrera 2 (Nu Nrg remix)
and possibly PvD - Connected pretty sure bout it
I dont know about Autumn. Listening to orig. now. I know you(Deekay) have that remix. Maybe someone else can confirm.
I had a great time overall.
edit: John Curley was on right before PvD. He was throwing down an awesome set. Pretty hard too. I would love to know his tracklist. There was some great tracks in there. And yes Ride was great to hear again. And Johnny Chaos was the closer after PvD

Tom has mentioned something about brainwashed... it was the track right before PVD - TOOL (orig)
I did hear a lot of tracks I dont' recall having heard before...

Good... it might have just been the dj throwing an accapella sample on top of it
but, I liked it. Vocals were really all in the beginning... but I forget what they were!
pvd was singing along to it...so it must have been good...
ok...i'm starting to fade in and out of zzzz'ness. I think I should be able to get a solid sleep from now till I have to get up for work.
