candles?

just lit up a pineapple and cilantro candle and dropped on Coldcut's "Philosophy" for a chill mood this evening.

anyone else here light up candles when they're relaxing, or otherwise?

I used to - until my teddy bear caught on fire and tried to take me down with him. By the time I woke up, (oh yeah, I was too 'relaxed' and fell asleep), his head was gone. True story.

Candles and incense all the way. Blacklight and stars and trance and comp visualizations. Some beers and some pot...its a room rave woot woot.

i installed lightswitch so you can turn lights on and off, not so you can throw lightswitch rave!!

Talking

my room was once raved out.
Black walls, many lava lamps, black lights, nifty pictures on the wall, huge subs/speakers, and even a bigscreen TV that would display effects, friends would love it.

candles, no.
girlfriend has plenty.

I light up candles all the time. Lately I've lit up "Lily's of the Valley" "Chocolate Chip Cookies" *omfg* and many others. I just bough a new one thats lit right now for christmas! Its pine tree. Smells like christmas in my room!

"Philosophy" ended, so I'm onto Global Communication's "76:14", seemed a very appropriate follow-up Mr. Pineapple Cilantro is still goin, though I might have to buy me some more candles soon, as this one's faltering a bit.

about the closest my room currently is to a rave would be the Twilo poster hangin on the wall. then again, my Nintendo Rob The Robot does give the room that "old-school-underground-dance-like-a-fool" kinda feel. it's one of those things I just couldn't bear to get rid of

placebo - nice touch with the Strongbad

At the door of my house I have the banister entangled in a spin of pink lights with a poster of Strawberry Shortcake that says "Have a Berry Nice Day!" It looks the shit at night time.

Posted by waxHead on Nov-17-2003 06:37:

that's gotta look wicked at night, you must be the envy of your neighborhood!

Rob's not all alone as the sole childhood reminder, a bunch of the "Where The Wild Things Are" figures keep him company

Some people use those scented candles to make their room smell good, but personally I like those air fresheners that you plug into a socket on the wall. They're great.

PS I love it how a guy called 'waxHead' started a thread about candles, hehe

I hate candles and incense. They smell so bad i can't breath when these are lit.
