My first mix evar!!!
Well, its been a month and a half since I've started spinnin' so i figured why not record a mix that I can look back at when I get better :P ( if i get better )
So I recorded this mix, and well im puttin it up for public to rate.
Im no proffesional, some mixes are a little off beat, some are mistimed but i want to try and get some reviews! Maybe you guys can tell me what im doing wrong or something.
Here it is.

Right click, save as. I dont know how fast it will be :| sorry if its a little slow.
PS. if anyone wants a tracklist, let me know, ill put it up.
will dl for sure... i could use something to listen to after listening to TAI sets for 10 hours today....
edit:
i love the creativity and the trackselection... very original.
and that's so far after 15 mins.. i dunno what's up
keep it up.... u've progressed a whole lot faster than i ever expected.
edit2:
1.5 months? i remember hearing ur very first set... dewd, are u sure ur not a ringer trying to hustle us?
Very good mixing for the time you've been practicing Demitri.
Comments:
- Good track listining. No cheese. This is tasteful trance. And that's saying alot coming from a jaded techno snob like me.
- Got a bit lazy around the 20.50 mark? LOL.
- I know you're new, but you've gotta work on some "mixing tricks"
- This is just a suggestion, you're the deejay, but I think your set would be more interesting if you diversified it a bit more.
BTW download his mix! Demitri is a buddy of mine and needs all of your "expert" opinions!
Thansk man! I hope I get a lil more reviews.
I'm listening to this mix, and so far I'm loving it!
Just wondering how you mixed these, on tables, or using a program? I've heard a lot of pro mixes and yours is actually very easily comparable to a lot of them, very nice
Good track selection too
Good mix D.
Track selection is good (for the first half anyway, even have some of the tunes) but I'm not a huge fan of the stuff you drop late, just personal preference (the last track is good though). Also The mixing is good, we'e all too hard on ourselves whenever we mix but yours is good man, mixing I mean.
I use regular tables, 2 SL1200MK2's and a Behringer mixer.
Thank you very much, but I think you're over-rating me prod!
whats the name of 2nd song on the set, i know i have heard it before.
nice mix by the way.
Paul Van Dyk - another way ( Session 2 )
Nah man, I enjoyed the mix, it was a perfect late-nite track with many nice tunes
I did notice a few little glitches here and there, but considering your spinning experience, I'd have to say you're doing very well!
Nice track selection. Couldn't recognize a few tunes. You need to post the tracklist
Your transitions are really good for a DJ that has just been spinning for a month and a half!
Don't quit your day job
lol - i actually took a day off today! Hahaha

dude, u've been spin'n for 1.5 months?????.....sure a little off, but fuck....mixes are tight!I'm don't totally love the music, i'm personally a technohead, but good tracks either way. Give yourself a year or so, u'll be out in the bars for sure. And who is Sierra???? what right u got say'n "don't quite your day job".??? Dude is just start'n up....i find him fuck'n good for that time for sure.... Dude keep it man and don't listen to people like that. Don't let people bring u down, they're just jealous.
The only advice i could give ( but it comes with experience) is to be more technical with your mixing. Make the transition with the mids, highs , and bass....what ever u need to do to cause a fluent transition between tracks. ( remember, bass ain't the only thing u can bring up and down.)
Keep it up bro

pfft, he's not discouraging me. I Dont care, i actually asked for opinions, no-ones opinion is wrong, thats why its an opinion. IF he thinks its bad, whatever - I think its bad myself haha.
