Yeah this set is apparently golden. Had it on my comp for a while but have yet to hear it! Damn...lol Looks like I have to now!

Posted by Skipper on Nov-18-2003 13:30:

I downloaded this awhile back and wasn't really diggin it.

The first demo mix, put out last November or so, was much more interesting.

the expensive part would have been to get him over to .ca hehe

expensive to fly from norway yuk
hihi

Heard the demo....and it was fuck'n sick. Not crazy bout the whole demo, but near the end it start'd gett'n sick. He does have mad skills though, i'll give him that. I'm down with the crew who wants CAVE down and i say we start a fundraiser and collect money from everyone each TA invasion. Remember, we just need a one way ticket, we'll worry about getting him home after his set.

I concur. First mix was spectacular. This one was "good". His mixing was amazing, of course, but actual tracks weren't up to the level of his Jan. mix.

that's really cool, if it's true. Let's do it!

hehehe, ya man, i was the one who asked about bringing cave to toronto. in the 'secret' section.

man, this guy has skillz (so skilled i had to use a 'z' instead of an 's')

sure his new demo was more latin/tribal sounding, but damn, it got me going,

and most of you guys would appreciate it more if it wasn't 40 tracks mixed into a 70 minute mix, but it is a demo.

let's get this guy @ System.

wow , it would be pretty fun dancing to these beats with the Melbourne Shuffle ..

nice mix!

Posted by AmbiguousBliss on Nov-18-2003 21:08:

In all honesty, I haven't heard much of this guy's work, but 'Street Carnival' f*cking pwns me. I really look forward to having a listen to this mix.

I'm only at the 13 minute mark so far, but I can indeed understand why that would be true. It's not bad though... The mix does seem (so far) as though it's missing some 'kick'. Not sure how to pin-point it, but s'all good. I'm enjoying it.

like i said b4, it's a demo, showcase of skills, 40 tracks into 70 minute mix, average tracklength for a techno song is 5 1/2 minutes.

Hehe, no worries, I understand. Just from my previous impression of him with 'Street Carnival' I expected something a bit different from this mix. It's still great, though. My mother (and I) even recognized an old brazilian tune in there...

E2EK1EL thinks her mom is hot too .. i'm serious.

Posted by Sand Leaper on Nov-18-2003 22:06:

Like vermi said, the hard part would be getting Cave over to Canada, a flight to TO from Oslo costs like 940 CAD :/ But if that could be sorted then I'd bet Cave would be thrilled to come and play for you guys. Nice guy too, I went to I Love Techno with him last year.

Hah, I love my mom.

I've heard the song and some remixes of it enough times before, but I can't remember the name right now. I'll post it once I remember/find out was it was again.

Hmmmmm...perhaps an Ingoma label night with Ben Sims & Cave would be something?

We can dream, people. We can dream.

Ben Sims hasn't played in Canada since May of 2002 at Aria, and before then, I don't know where and when he's toured Canada.

Speaking of Sims, he played at a BOAT party on the Thames River in London (UK) over the summer...check out the pics:

http://www.nomusic.net/tronic_london/tronic_london.html

Barbara, Ben, Beyer, Christian. 200 people, on a boat, blaring techno. Good god.
