Dunno Clearing your mind

Im having troubles focusing these last two days. I have some stuff on my mind and its, well, distracting me from concentrating on what i have to do. Ive never really had a problem like this before, and please don't ask me what it is.

So how do you clear your mind. Dont say trance, i tried that.

Well when I have hard times, I hang out alot with my friends. Even if I don't want to hang out with them, I do it regardless because I know it will take my mind off of it and it'll make me feel a little bit better. You should try to do that and see if that works. Another thing you can do is excerising. It's a good stress reliever and I noticed when I'm pissed or really stressed, I work out alot harder and better. And I think those are two good suggestions. If I think of anymore later on, I'll post them.

I've also been having trouble concentrating lately due to many things on my mind. The solution is to take your mind off those things. Like the guy above me said, socializing definately helps.

I find that your surroundings can have quite a significant affect on your state of mind. When i'm stressed out, I usually just chill in my room. You have the lights off, with chillout music playing, and it really helps if you've got a lava lamp or plasma globe in your room. They're very relaxing.

Chillin' with your mates helps a lot too. Laughter releases 'feel good chemicals' into your system, which can help you think better. Also, not getting enough sleep can severely cloud your mind. I'm having first hand experience of that these days!

yeah, i guess that contributes to the problem for sure.

What about meditation, anyone know how to do this? Its not a stress problem, i can deal with that, its more of an unhappiness thing.

really, ya ever tried takin a ritalin? It will make your mind stop wandering, but I find that I need my mind to wander in order to function in life. I just start feeling depressed when I cant have my head floating in my own little world. But yeah, everyone has an ADHD friend, just try one, ya never know.


As for meditation, thats really simple actually. Just sit somewhere quiet where nothing can interupt you, preferably some place really familiar with you so that little noises and stuff dont mess u up. Sit/lie down however u can get comfy without sleeping. Then make your mind shut up altogether, think about absolutely nothing for as long as you can, you can get to the point were it makes yer body start shutting down almost like its falling asleep, juust hold off your thoughts and it will almost always make you feel better.

Something fun to try, do it for like 20 mins before walking into a party, youll find it much easier to start dancin and stuff, wont be nearly as self concious or shy or nervous or paranoid or anything, at least that works for me anyway.

I was kinda thinking i have a bit of ADD. A while ago, i got my doctor to give my an ADD test, he gave me some dumb emotional test and he told me i dont have ADD or ADHD. Not like an emotional test is really going to test for ADD, but just lately i think my emotions are bothering me and also past regrets too, so im basically wondering if there is anything i can do to remove my emotions or at least suppress them.

believe me you dont want some pill that fucks with your emotions, you are really better off just dealing with whatever is going on. There is stuff out there that just makes u feel like a robot or something, I forgot what it was called, then there are things that dont let you get angry or sad. I think its important to be able to feel how ever you really do feel, that stuff doesnt help. I got a coupla friends who have to take stuff like that, it really isn't fun.
