Okay, listening now. Nice beginning, cool pads and good use of the piano sound. Nice use of vocals as well. From a djing point of view, the intro could be annoying/difficult though.

The mix of the song sounds like it is missing something. I think it is the bassline that doens't do it for me.

Its a nice little trance track, it just doesn't have the energy that I like to feal from trance, but I guess its not that kind of trance hey.

Nice work, keep em coming.

Cool pads and lyrics.. piano could be better though.. maybe if it had more structure.. I agree with the track missing something in the low end.. give the low end some compression and it might be better... but be careful of disortion.

do you think i should add to the bassline or change it altogether? and what would you suggest i do to get more energy?

what do you mean by more structure? as far as the low end goes, in my final mix i took quite a bit off cause i thought it sounded muddy...do you think i overdid it?

thanks again for all your help!

Okay, well, I've listened to it again. I think firstly, the notation of the bassline is very start and stop. It does not flow to produce the song's energy. It is also not a prominant part of the track and is lacking in the sub-base region.

Here's one of my theories. People groove their bodies to the bassline and groove their ears and minds to the melody. If you want your track to get people moving, then you need to get the kick and bassline right.

Yes you definitly over did it... by more structure I meant that all it is is something being played with one hand.. perhaps if it was clearer and had something else (a bass part) it would be better.
