so my father was diagnosed with skin cancer today...dontu love life and its lil twists...life loves to tease me...

Mine was a while ago too, but got it removed in time to be all right. Good luck to his treatment and I hope they found it early enough.

nah dont worry i dont need to talk to anyone..i dunno ta chillout is kinda like group therapy in a way lol..i can just come on here let out some shitty thoughts every once in a while ppl tell u their view on it or I give some shitty advice to others shitty thoughts and u feel just a lil better....thats why i like the chillout room...just it gets weird when ppl get really personal.....

they cut it off, sent it away, and It was benign.

I got lucky.

its usually not as bad as it seems(skin cancer that is)

but the spots that they diagnosed have been there for a long time...so it may have gone deep i dunno it could be nothing to..i know shit all abt this sort of thing..all i know is that he told me he had skin cancer and i patted him on the back and said good luck and when will dinner be ready...yeah i suck at shit like that i know lol...

Skin cancer's not good shit, but rather have it than lung cancer. I've known quite a few folks with the skin cancer, my father included, and that never killed them.

sorry to hear it hope treatment goes well for ur dad. BTW, how the hell do u get skin cancer in CANADA? For pete's sake its only summer for 3 month out of the year, I mean how do get enuff sun to get skin cancer? Now, California is another story, anyone over 30 looks 10 yrs older and their skin is like leather.

Skin cancer doesn't only develop from overexposure. You can get cancerous moles, which is classified as skin cancer (I think). I hope everything works out for your dad bro, cancer is nothing to take lightly. It is the epidemic of the 21st century.

they can be there and harmless, then change shape/colour and suddenly its a whole new issue.
I had had this mole for my entire life, it went from moleish pink/purple to brown green w/ spots

thats not good.
But in the end, it was all good. Hope the same for your father.
