Swwwwwing Low.......

i always knew we were going to win, the frenzied pom bashing of the last few days only showed how scared you all were: Justifiably.

but i must have imagined Robbo's try, after all, we can't play flowing rugby.............

Who's the idiot who made a double post and managed to forget that we beat you in just about every other sport that exists?

THe only problem they beat us when it mattered, and where it hurts...

A big sporting event hosted in our own backyard, and the poms are lifting up the trophy, whilst were runner up.

*Shrugs*

We just beat them in a League test serious over in the UK. Whilst it wasn't as big, it's still some form of revenge

Posted by JulesPLees on Nov-23-2003 07:44:

Yeah the poms deserved to win I guess...good luck

enjoy it fellas...only another 37 years until you win anything ever again

no way man forget the league its the worst game
id rather we won in lawn bowls than in the league
its not about getting revenge its the fact that england won something, and it was a pretty big something that gets me

For someone who knows shamefully little about rugby (Victorian ), I always thought League was more popular in NSW and Queensland. At least that's the impression I got when I stayed with some rellies in Canberra, all I got was league, league, and more league.

I did actually watch the league test telecasts, and it was rather satisfying to see Kimmorly (Ex melb storm player )
save the game both times. The ENglish commentators couldn't believe it; 'OH NO, NOT KIMMORLEY AGAIN', you could also clearly see some fully grown men bawling their eyes out in the croud as Kimmorly (sp) scored his tries in the second test.

Admittedly it isn't the world cup, but we still beat them at thugby

Oh well, I guess England has to win something eventually. 37 years is a long time, so I guess the next 37 years will be just as painful.

Good to see a close, competitive match, though Wendell Sailor should be dragged out in the street and shot. Or sent packing back to the Broncos where he doesn't have to tackle or kick.

I'm surprised no-one's started a Dell-bashing thread yet

we had to give you poms something to cheer about ! you have a population of over 55 million, compared to our 20 million (almost triple) and yet we still seem to kick your ass in every sporting event ! ok you won the Rugby World Cup ! but which country is the ONLY nation to win the cup more than once ? you guessed it AUSTRALIA ! enjoy the celebrations poms, you won't have to many of them in the near future anyways

Yeah, but I think one of the reasons why we do so good in sport (in comparison to ALL nations) is due to the amount of funding that our associations/organisations get since we are such a sport-heavy country
