i saw this for the first time last night. wanted to see it ever since it came out at the cinema but never did. totally awsome film, perfectly acted throughout.

what was ur conclusion to the film? me and neo are currently arguing so i want other peoples opinions:

what he an alien? was he just mad? was he robert porter? was everyone mad? (neo's theory - everyone was mad)

He was obviously an alien in the movie that took over Roberts body. Theres facts in the movie that proove that he's an alien, Robert was a construction worker so he couldnt have known anything that was said about the constellations and ect.

intresting theory. tho robert wasnt a retard, which he was at the end. ive been doing some digging around the net and i dont think there is an ending, right or wrong. there are so many options available, and no official annoucement made, think what u like...

great movie and an even better soundtrack...one of my 2 fav movie soundtracks-the other one being "great expectations" (1998)
seriously buy the soundtrack - its an amazing chill-out album-you will love it...

as for the movie... i think he was an alien but its one of those endings where its left up to you what you want to believe. i was thoroughly pleased at the way it ended instead of having some lame "crazy-man-cured" story.

i felt the movie was about forcing yourself to abandon all rationale and believing in the unbelievable. then again i have yet to read the book.

He wasnt retarded. He was just a vegetable.. One of those things that happends when you expierience a huge trauma in your life. Maybe he was half past dead when the Alien chose his body for usage thus making my theory correct.
