cheese?

ok some guy was arguing with me that Green Velvet - Lala land is cheese.... i was like WTF! that is sooooo not cheese .... is it?

i mean for me cheese is something that is played and overplayed and overplayed, but this track isnt played much
what do u guys think

ps. i know the track is old but the discussion came about today

It isn't how often something gets played that makes it cheese, it's how well it's produced. As The Rush Comes was getting played by everybody every night earlier this year, but it's not cheese.

never heard it, if it sounds like cheese it probably is
cheese is characterized by a strong leading main synth with vocals that have no real meaning karaoke style
at least imo

cheese = ripoff tracks that copy hits before them.....

It was a huge Ibiza anthem last year getting hammered by alot of DJs. Some people consider cheese songs that have been overplayed but I won't say it's cheesy.

I'll agree... overplayed, yes, cheese, no

Hmmm. To me cheese means lots of female vocals on top of synthy, overproduced, predictable backing. So no, I wouldn't classify this as cheese. However, I also happen to think that the song is boring and entirely unmusical... but perhaps it's just not my style.
