Imagine if you could restart your life but with the same knowledge you have right now

..presuming that even as a baby your brain would be equally developped

Would you rule by the time you reach the same age again or what?!

I'd go memorize some winning lottery numbers, then tell my parents the numbers before they're drawn.

id yellat my teachers

Posted by whiskers on Nov-24-2003 01:59:

imagine how boring it would be at first... you wouldn't be able to do anything an adult person can (and i'm talking about such stuff as even opening doors) and you wouldn't be able to hang out with the people your age because they'd have completely different interests.

but i do wish i could relive my life from the age of 11 (or at least 15) with the knowledge i have now.

Posted by LKD on Nov-24-2003 02:05:

i need more knowledge than what i have now so ask me in a few years if i DO attain any of the K stuff

on the other hand... i'd be very glad to relive my life from the age of 15. to think about it in detail, i'd know everything, since i have pretty good memory.... eh.. imagination... mine is too vivid.

Posted by Eric19 on Nov-24-2003 02:11:

Oooh, that would be nice.. Id be doing very well right now. I'd also be in very good shape, and id have been a kick ass student in school.. Id probably would've had a girlfriend by now... Oh that would be nice to go back and do.. Lotta mistakes to correct..

Posted by whiskers on Nov-24-2003 02:17:

Yeah I would relive my crappy teen years too *sigh*

That would be stupid... the first 12 - 15 years were great because you were discovering everything for the first time. Youve got plenty more years ahead to enjoy your new found knowledge.

true, but wouldn't it be so very interesting to look at the world back then with the knowledge that you have right now?

nope you wouldn't since your brain would not grow at the same rate as the other childrens, since it is developed to a certain point. You'd be a slow learner compared to most children.

In addition it would suck, since all my values are already developed and that means that i wouldn't have the opportunity to change them again. Also, my values are 'ok' for the current generation, but who knows if they still apply in 20 years? Also, wouldn't it be aweful when you are a newborn, you cannot speak, yet you remember HOW to do integrals? I mean, you are somewhat helpless and PERFECTLY aware thereof? or wouldn't you be?

I've got a list of people i'd probably slap if I knew then what I know now.

Posted by Boomer187 on Nov-24-2003 20:09:

Pedophilia would suddenly become legal......muhahahahaaa, I am sure micheal jackson would be the first to sign up for this.

actually if this happened it would give me more time to learn more, I would have an extra 23 years to read those novels I couldn't understand when I had the time and now that I can understand I have no time.

fantasy.

Posted by TrAnCeAkI on Nov-24-2003 20:11:

i havent learned nothing so lol

Posted by DigiNut on Nov-24-2003 20:17:

Of course there's some things I might do differently if I could go back, but wanting to relive my entire life over again? I don't think so...

The knowledge we have now is only meaningful to our own personal lives. Let's say we went back and decided to study harder in school (or party harder, in my case) - what then? Suddenly our lives change, we're in new situations, all the knowledge we have now would fail us.

Everybody envisions this as going back 10 years and changing one little thing, then fast-forwarding 10 years again to see the results... but what if you actually had to relive those entire 10 years, those 3652 days? What if things turned out worse despite the knowledge you currently have?

Wow, if I could do that..I probably wouldn't be sick..
