Marco V - G.O.D.D.

Anyone know of any artists/songs that have a similar sound to this?

Posted by auujay on Nov-24-2003 05:53:

Try other Marco V productions and remixes.

If you want a close sound but not the Marco V stuff branch out to other tech-trance tracks. These are some of my favorite techy tracks, some are closer to Marco V than others (the Collusion and Silvester tracks sound a lot like Marco V).

Igor S - Boomerang
Storm - Time To Burn [Mauro Picotto Mix]
Silvester - Believe
Musique Vs U2 - New Years Dub [Skynet or Mauro Picotto Mix]
Mauro Picotto - Like This, Like That [Tea Mix]
Impact vs DJ Cor Fijneman - No Way Out
Collusion - Impetuous
Carlo Testi - In Your Mind [Lost In Bass Drum Mix]
Bismark - Reactivate [Trasp 1 Remix]
Airbase - Club Point
Dirty Bass - Emotional Soundscape
John Askew - Are You Reading Me?
Katana - Fancy Fair
BrenF - Diamond Dust [J. O'Callaghan's Techstorm Mix]
Scott Mac - High Fidelity

Thank you very much for the recommendations. I downloaded a few already and I'm enjoying them very much.

No. Godd focuses around the percs and banging beat whereas Punk/RYBR is all about the melody.
Not to mention they don't sound alike at all to begin with.

Everything by Katana. Maybe a bit slow, but very good tunes anyway

Posted by maria111 on Nov-25-2003 15:01:

beside Godd witch is a really nice tune try search for simulated as well!

i agree with that, the structure is obvioulsy different.

but i was more thinking of the groove and mood the tracks sets out, they both give me the feeling of being in an "undergroud dark smokey club". so i throw them in into the same category.

Any track or remix by Marcel Woods...his style reminds a lot of Marco V's style...you're gonna love it...

To be fair I wouldnt class Rock Your Body Rock as an "underground dark smokey club" tune, or Punk for that matter

some talla 2xlc's tunes would be great tho

Posted by beema on Nov-25-2003 19:15:

anything else by Marco V, Katana, Dariush Fattahi (Igor S)/ Ricky Fobis, Thomas P. Heckman, W. Jorg Henze, or Oliver Klitzing (best tech-trance producer, imo) or any of his aliases (hit up the alias list for references).
you might even want to look into some REAL TECHNO!

interesting fact: the "melody" in G.O.D.D. is a preset on the Access Virus C...lol...Marco barely did shit...

Well the melody is hardly the centerpiece of the tune, is it?
