Talking N3W Track

Hey guys!
I need some feedback on this track. It's my first serious track, so I need you guys to be brutal. Rip the whole thing apart if you have! Anyway its right here:hydroparardise - dont go that way

Keep in mind I'm having a bit of trouble with the bass. I have a couple of other ideas with it, but this one seems the best.

Thnx guys!

Agreed, you need to work on the bassline. It is not bass, it is more mid-range than anything else.

Kick sample is pretty average. Maybe go find some better ones.
Transitions where new parts come in are too sudden. Hide/Soften them with some little perc builds, a crash/ride, cut out the 32nd kick or a combination of the three to make the transition less sudden.

Sounds are too simple. The pad is a bit better but the lead and stuff in the breakdown could use some work.

Percussion is simple but alright.

That eary synth that comes in at 3:46 is better, and the melody that it plays is nicer. General melody is alright. Not enough to move my pants though.

Hope that is what you were after. For your first serious production, its not too bad. You've got a fair way to come still but its all an enjoyable learning curve. Now go have a smoke and think about what I said...j/k.

Keep em coming mate, cheggy.

mp3.com sux.. it's so slow.. nice melody.. definitly major.. bass isn't too bad.. percussion needs some beefing up.. and that high thing at 1:33 either needs to be an octave lower or softer because it's annoyingly loud.. the over all composition isn't too bad (i've heard worse.. MUCH worse..) work on your percussion and you'll have soem good stuff.. you could benifit from some better soft synths or even better a hard ware synth as well..
