experience with effects/sampler units... primarily korg kaoss kp2

Wondering, from those that have had actual experience, what your opinions are of the Korg kaoss kp2 effect/sampler unit.

Im looking into getting an effects/sampler unit for live mixing situations. This will be attached to a A&H xone:32.

- Is there a better standalone effects/sampler unit that the Korg KP2 within the 400$ price range?

- What is the wiring scheme to hook up the Korg KP2 to the A&H Xone:32? (do my TT's plug directly into the effect/sampler unit, then sampler unit get plugged into phone inputs on mixer, or is the unit plugged into the effects send output on the mixer then back in to channel 2 input on the mixer?)[im kinda lost as i havent examined the unit in person yet.]

- is this effect/sampler unit useful?

- how easy is the unit to use?(im a first timer with effects/samplers.)

I would actually really like to get opinions from *actual* owners or users of this unit vs. heresay information, but i guess any information would be helpful.

Also... if anyone has used the pioneer efx 500, what did you think of it...

Im looking for comparison opinions between the Korg Kp2 and the pioneer efx 500.

some good posts here: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...ight=korg+kaoss

I plan on getting one Kaoss Pad 2 for x-mas too I think they're useful to spice things up, when you get the basics down.
now on to your questions:
- the only FX unit similar to Kaoss Pad that is "popular" that I know of is the Pioneer one (mentioned on that thread), but I dunno why prefer Korg's; you may prefer a standalone since you can therefore upgrade your mixer with no problems if you plan to etc;
- as for the wiring scheme I can't tell ya since I don't yet own one but Korg's official site has the manual on PDF format and you can connect to the send/return section of your mixer, or connect your TTs directly to it.. it's up to you, but without the 1st one I guess you can't connect the mixer
- if it is easy, well you turn the effect on, there are 99 effects, and then you move the finger through the X and Y axis and it produces different sounds.. you can record the motion, and it is sensible to intensity of touch..
Well there you go, I can't help more since I'll only get it in x-mas (hopefully! )
Cheers!
