NEW : dutchforce - deadline (icone remix)

Hey people,

Here's one of my newest remixes. Since I have no purposes for this remix, I give you its full 192kbps version.

Lemme know what you think of it. I don't think this is my best remix yet, just made this because I love the original.

Enjoy!
Wim

Hello!

it was good to hear this tune again.

i think your remix has done justice and i think choral voices during the breakdown really add to the mood of the track.

Excellent remix. thanks

one of my fave tracks

once again a very pro sounding track

im not to sure about the synth youve used before the break, i just dont think it fits properly

i do however like the what youve did with the synth during the break

i think the piano sound needs a little more work, seems a bit fake

the percs are nice though

overall good track

i love the bassline.
the break is breathtaking as usual.
really sounding pro... i love this remix; the more stuff i hear from you, the more i enjoy it. Congrats.

Great choonage. Great composition.
Mad bassline riff you used! I'd really like to hear that bassline with opening & closing filters at some parts of the track, I was at least expecting it. Could do with some mangled vocal samples too I think.
The track reminds me of a Kai Tracid track.
Anyway, 'ood work lad!

Thumbs up

Wow, one of my all-time favorite tracks remixed by one of my favorite amateur producers, high expectations here!

Love what you did with it, Wim. Doesn't have that hard, driving edge like the original which blows the roof off, but definitely has the Icone sound that I love.

Like mentioned before, the bassline is fantastic, sounds extremely pro. The only thing I don't like is during the break the synth sounds too high-pitched, too piercing. Other than that tho, nothing but quality. Thanks for sharing a high quality version.

hey, thanks for the kind words. should i perhaps remove the higher-pitched synth before the break section? maybe other piano synth as well?

cheers,
Wim

Great stuff, as usuall pro sound and everything heheh. Luv the startup...

Half the time u dont need a review because you know what im going to say .

Personally i think that the track has had too many different mixes of itself but why not seens tho its a good track.

keep it up!

King

not bad...bit plain though, not enuff energy innit.

the lead is a bit 'flat'

the piano thing i like though

Tezz :: thanks for your comment mate. there can always be something that can be improved, so you're always welcome to pass by

KillaDJ :: thanks! I know the original was quite soothing, so I decided to make this one a tad more laidback. therefore the lead isn't pumping, just stays Icone though

i forgot to post about this..i dont remember listening to the original (shame on me) but overall the production is good...i personally like the piano ,doesnt sound too "cheap" to me, and the break is gr8

The beginning sounds great until you insert that high pitched thinge. I didn't like the sound of that.
I wouldn't mind a more powerful piano in the break, but its nothing really. Just the perfectionist in me speakin'
Overall the break is very sweet and when it let go into the main part i feel this energy rush sweeping though me.
The high pitched thing comes in once more and I still think, if you still want to put more time into this remix, that you should do something about that one.

Really nice remix that makes the original track justice.

Thanks Patrick, nice to see you around here as well.

I've altered the higher-pitched synth for the final version, dunno what I did there It does sound alot better on a lower octave and layered a bit more.

I've just dl'd this, so I don't know if this a second version or not...
I only listened on my pc-speakers, but there are two things that bother me: a woodblock-sounding percussion sample that's too loud imo, and the piano riff doesn't like a piano, was this the point?

As I said when ELE remixed this, I'm a huge fan of the original, so if I don't like what you've done then I'm hunting you down...

However, this doesn't dissapoint at all. It sounds like Deadline, and it sounds like Icone. Can't really ask for much more from you...
