I feel so fucking useless and stupid

But shit, I don't have time to. This sucks. I hate being a perfectionist. I hate it when there's anything I can't do or understand.

You have to start somewhere. You think that guy knew how to do that shit off the bat?

Is it ambition keeping you from doing it? Think of how good you will feel once you aquire knowledge of how to do that stuff.

Obviously. But I'm just so critical of myself and stuff, and I put myself down way too much.

Overall I've found people like this to be conceited pricks who rather not give you a drop of advice. I tried messaging several people with these skills (also in photography) several times on deviantart.com, and only one of them replied, and then stopped. And no, I was NOT asking them for anything huge. Just a little 'hey' and 'what kind of camera did you use?' kinda thing.

Pisses me off.

EDIT: By the way, because of how the stupid society and the world in general works, I can't do the stuff I like such as this at all. What do I have to do instead? That's right, go to school, and learn 90% stuff that isn't really useful or enriching in any way, but rather just BS you do over and over to hopefully get somewhere.

ex.:

- essay on the same repetitive thesis #2908330498334 for english
- lab #98234098490823 which doens't teach you jack, but is only an excuse for the teacher to pull marks off you for stupid things (and when you go thim cornered in an argument in which he should justify why you lost marks, he tells you "do you want to lose more marks?!?")
- exam on useless shit #4095849038509438509435495409
- etc. etc.

get lightwave ..it really isnt that hard.

The guy who did this site is also a house/trance DJ, as some might notice there's lots of electronica influence on the site

And yea, I know what you mean; I wish I could've taken web design classes and shit like that in high school instead of art or music or bio or math...wow!! what choice!!

What do you do when you get home from school? Use your spare time to learn more about it.

I used to feel the same way about school and how it's all BS, but now that I've been graduated for 6 years I WISH I'd learned more of that "bullshit".

well shit he's good. Top of his game at both DJing and webdesign.

And you ask why I feel stupid...

I can't stand artsy fartsy websites. They always confuses aesthetics with functionality... how the fuck do I scroll down? etc. As to that pop 3d modelling, it's not that hard to do once you know the technique.. It looks a lot more impressive than it is i'm afraid. The renders that look like photographs make my jaw drop with an alarming consistency -P

btw thanks for all the input guys.

I just need some time. Can't wait till Christmas break...
