Suggestions on books plz.
There's probably a few threads on suggestions, but I'll be damned if I could find any in a search..
I'm going book shopping tomorrow and would like some suggestions.
Preferrably NON-fiction and in the science dept., but anything is welcome.
Last books I've read are -
A short History of Nearly Everything - Bill Bryson
Universe in a Nutshell - Stephen Hawking
Kingdom of Fear - Hunter S. Thompson
....just to give an idea of my tastes..
Thanks.
A book called tenderness. It is pretty good i thought considering i don't read alot. It's by Robert Cormier
Eighteen-year-old Eric has just been released from juvenile detention for murdering his mother and stepfather. Now he's looking for tenderness--tenderness he finds in caressing and killing beautiful girls.
Fifteen-year-old Lori has run away from home again. Emotionally naive but sexually precocious, she is also looking for tenderness--tenderness she finds in Eric. Will Lori and Eric be each other's salvation or destruction? Told from their alternating points of view, this harrowing thriller speeds to its fateful conclusion with an irresistible force, and a final twist that will not be easily forgotten.
Sounds kinda lame but it's good.

a breif history of time - stephen hawking
on the philosophical side without a doubt, but Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn, was undoubtedly my favorite book ever. it changes the way you think
