I wouldn't pay a dime for it. Large LCD screen is too fragile (cells will die), battery life is likely to be drastically cut (although lcd is relatively low power, the video processing capabilities of the display are likely to use up a lot of juice) and to be quite frank, watching a movie on a screen a little larger than an index card is a waste of time (and money). the buttons also seem extruded from the case by a large degree, which isn't that big of a deal with a keypad lock but they tend to break easier...

Always be wary of "feature packed" devices.. they tend to be poorly thought out. My money goes on an extreme lack of durability for this...

i actually posted this cus i JUST came back from a store that had one...i was playing with it for a half hour and was amazed...it is awesome....absolutley awesome...makes the IPOD look like a joke...

The battery life on that thing is exactly 31 minutes.

I diagree...i was using it at the store...the buttons would not break at all...the video i was watching looked perfect to me..and i am a huge video buff....the battery life last 4 hours of full video...and is replaceable...unlike the IPOD.

It's RCA. It will stop working in less than 6 months guaranteed.

Posted by Boomer187 on Nov-26-2003 04:42:

I think it is a good idea. However I will wait for the guinea pigs to get through the first batch and read some reviews. I think it would be cool to have during school when I have to wait inbetweenm classes, also on public transportation....mint.

I still think the battery life would be incrediblly low if it is that size. but I am sure there is an adapter to plug into the wall.

agreed! RCA is the worst. wait for pioneer or sony to come out with one, it will be 3 times more, and 10 times better.
