Question about Spybot ....???

-Ok, so i have spybot search & destroy to get rid of any spyware/adware etc.... but everytime i do the search & destroy feature, the program itself seems to lock up at the same exact point everytime (C2.lop i believe the file is called).

-I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program multiple times, but still, the same results no matter what.

-Anyone else out there get the same prob or know whats going on? If not, are there any other alternatives to that type of program????? Please heeeeeelp!!

click here and then click "How can I remove the accessories toolbar?"

download the uninstall file & remove all the lop bullshit. then try running spybot again.

I havent tried it yet, but thanks a lot dude !!!!! That sh!t has been pissing me off for dayz, hopefully it works. Did u get the same prob before or something?

So i downloaded the prog and ran it, ran spybot afterwards and still no luck in stopping spybot from freezing at the "c2.lop" file during the search & destroy

hmm.....have u tried ad-aware? I had a bunch of lop shit on my box last week & i got rid of it with that un install file & ad aware. hope it helps..

I've been having the exact same problem. I've just been running spybot when I know I won't be using the computer for the next 10 or 15 minutes. I know that this doesn't exactly help, but you're not the only one with this prob.

right before it gets to c2.lop stop it, fix all teh stuff its found so far, and then run it again. I don't know why that works, but it does.

One last prob! ( I know, I'm full of problems right now).... whenever I start or click to start Spybot, it automatically starts the search & destroy (upon starting the prog). And i have no way of stopping it that way....I cant even get to the settings to uncheck that option. I've tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling, but yet, it still starts up w/ the search & destroy off the bat! This is soooooo frustrating! Does anyone know how i can get to the settings option bypassing the initial checkup??????????????
