Favourite genres outside of trance

What kind of music do u guys normally listen to when you wanna take a break from trance?? I listen to D&B when I'm in an energetic mood, ambient/chill-out to relax... hip hop/R&B once in a while...

I used to listen to 100% rap until early 1992 when I rediscovered reggae (dancehall 1st). Then it was 50/50 rap, roots reggae, junglism (jungle), and 60s rocksteady. When real rap was dying out in the late 90s, I started listening to trance. From then on, it's been about 95% trance. If I wanna take a break from it, it's back to old school rap and reggae.

Other than trance i listen to happy hardcore but thats about it.

Outside of all electronica genre, Id have to go with old school puck when it was still fast and loud. I know ravers and punks are mortal enemies but hey Its all about the music.

right now , I listen to trance mostly, occassionaly I will listen to drum and bass and also psy-trance. And maybe on a rare ocasion it will be rap that I was into until the mid to late 90's.

When I don't listen to Trance I just look what's on my HD.. or what kind of cd's I have lying around.. I like "oldies like led zeppelin or bonnie tyler (total eclips of the hart is sooo GOOOD!!!) or something like the beatles. I have a TOP 100 of all times with a lot of old good songs! sometimes I listen too nice tracks that are popular at the moment (I like almost everthing) .. But It all depends on my mood..
Advice don't listen to trance (or anything with a pretty in it hard beat) when you're having a Hang Over...

But when i am not listening to Trance it's stuff like
Oasis, sort of Brit rock if u like,
Transvision Vamp (OLD but i still love them)
Spooks, sort of R&B / rap group
Pink Floyd too

I listen to Linkin Park alot..i guess they are rock. Alot of their beats are eletronically produced however.

I feel your pain lol.

I was a hardkore punk kid before I started listening to more electronic stuff and i still like both a good deal so i have to very interesting sets of friends lol

Brazilian House

My favourite style beside trance is brazilian influenced house. Watxch out for "Brazilectro (1)/2" "destination Rio mixed my DJ can 7". Dont forget Ian Pooley!

ditto.. hip-hop & rap used to be so much better than it is now .. now its all pansy chart shite thats made for the money and not the music. trance should never go that way though.. theres too much of an underground element to it

i listen to trance like 99.5% of the time but that .5% of the time i take a break and listen to some nirvana,seven dust, limp bizkit, house, hard house, dnb, jungle, ambient, whatever im in the mood for ill listen to anything but rap/r&b/reggaie/pop
