i wouldn't say trance is a good idea for road trip music. its got to be something you can sing along with, U2, or somthing like that.

trance will get too repetitive in a long journey and its very hard to participate in while stuck in a car. if you know what i mean

Progressive trance or whatever they call it is my favourite music while travelling. And especially long melodical tunes. There's plenty of them out there.


Of course, In Search Of Sunrise 1 and 2 and Summerbreeze also travels with me always.


Whoops, I just realized you were asking for music to have in maybe a car or something. I was thinking about if you were travelling alone, let's say when your girlfriend has fallen asleep, and you're stuck to yourself. Or maybe you're taking a 8 hour long train ride. Maybe even a 14 hour long planeride, who knows?

As for a car full of people, I'd say:
The Prodigy - Music For The Jilted Generation
The Prodigy - Experience
The Prodigy - any damn tune, make a mix-cd with your favourite selections from them.

Something uplifting is nice...

Something nice and fast, either a hard trance compilation or a faster set by PvD. Anything to get those pulses racing along with your car!!
