Amsterdam Trance Clubs - Please HELP!

Hi

Coming over to holland for trance energy on 31st january. I want to go clubbing in amsterdam on the friday night, but can't seem to find out much about the clubs over there and whats going on! Please could someone help me out, I'm looking for a trance one obviously. Websites would be useful!

I will also visit holland for TE 04 and stay till the next weekend.Willing to go hq, xl clubs and obsession party at wervershoof on 7 feb.I also could not find yet any good trance event on 30 jan maybe some dutch TAs may offer suggestions

Yeah we need some more input from dutch TAs your right although it does look like the lineups for clubs in Jan 04 haven't been organised yet so therefore no-one knows!

The Xtra Large club - http://www.xtralarge.nl/ looks good, I remember that last time I went to TE they were handing out flyers and one of them was for that club. Unfortunately, no details of January, but looks like they have good DJs there. Only trouble is finding it too, I don't know Amsterdam at all really and it would be very difficult finding the club just from that small map. Hopefully someone can help!

I'm not from Holland but I've dutch friends and I asked them about good clubs in there:
Kremlin ---> don't miss this club!

Melkweg ---> is a center with live-music, theatre, cinema, parties...

Ah not a club but if you like the weed go to Baba, a Coffe Shop where you can heard techno and trance while you are smoking weed

Trouble is with many of these websites they don't have whats going on in January at all and certainly not the 30th which is the Friday I'm gonna be there looking for clubs!

been to XL for the AvB/Pulser/Lange/M.I.K.E party a couple of months ago (October ?) - great club, lots of security, thorough checks, great visuals, lovely people, great crowd.

Highly recommended.

Cool, thanks for the recommendation. Is it easy to find get to? I don't know Amsterdam much at all, so I'm a bit lost really...
And it's trance all the way? Also, any idea who's gonna be there on the 30th Jan? Who are the residents?

When I went to Amsterdam last year I came across a clud called Club Item. I had one of the best nights ever and the music was amazing! A couple of the tracks I recall the DJ spinning are DuMonde - Never Look Back and Marc Et Claude - Loving You (Ratty Remix). I picked up a flyer... the club is located at:

btw - Club Item wasn't huge but the staff and people there were so friendly! There is also a small map on the flyer. It is located right by the Dam Square

Thanks, I'll pop by the Holland forum shortly I think. Looks as if XL is probably the best bet, it's just finding it that is the problem. Even with the address it is difficult to find places. IS there a holland version of multimap/streetmap, that could help me see on a map where these places are?
