Since i'm no true icelander, i can't say, but after reading few of Halldor Laxness novels, i get the distict feeling they're not too fond of the Danes.

Hmm interesting.

The only Icelandic author I have read any of is Snorri Sturlsen...but it was all Norse myths lol.

The Danish are pesky....maybe he did not like pesky folk.
