The $hittiest Cell phones or mobile providers

Buyer be ware:

Stay away from Motorola 720i - the biggest piece of crap that I ever owned. Here's why:

1. The phone freezes up on me everyonce in a while
2. Animation is turned off, but icons are still animated and take forever to load
3. The menu response is the worst I've seen. Takes about 3-5 seconds before something happens
4. Bootup of the phone takes longer than my Windows XP running on a Pentium 1 - 75MHz with 16MB of RAM and stoned-hamster-powered power supply
5. The phone just shuts down for no apparent reason, right in the middle of important business cal. (No I didn't drop it or abused it in any way)
6. The ring volume is so low, even a SETI dish would not pick it up
7. The battery takes 8 hours to fully charge!
8. The power plug is useless if not inserted and jiggled like an old whore's nipples (ok, I wouldn't know that but I figure that's what it would be like)
9. The messaging on that phone is terrible!
10. Battery life is shorter than it takes to say "oops, my battery is dying!"

The worst celluar provider:
AT&T Wireless. terrible coverage on GSM or 1900 band, the worst customer service, bunch of crooks who rip you off and don't tell you about it.

CynepMeH, I have a motorola 720i too, and with the exception of the charging problem its fine for me.

On the other hand, t-mobile is the worst service provider ever, there coverage is so bad its insane.

I work for AT&T and the coverage where i live is great. You must be one of those noobs that doesn't understand Cellular technology. IT DOESNT WORK EVERYWHERE!!! And as far as your phone goes.....your the one that picked it, not AT&T

I love my T722i on the T-Mobile network in Chicago

Sprint and Cingular are the worst.

T-Mobile is fine, now. When it used to be Voicestream, it was the worst. I use the T-Mobile Sidekick Color.

If you are having so many problems why not take it to your local ATT Wireless provider and have a technician look at the phone for you. I was having serious issues with my phone (Verizon) to the tune of putting most of my minutes on roam. After two bills of over $300 (that I had them remove the charges) I had a technician look at the phone and I got it replaced because it was in disrepair.

Never hurts to try.

Motorola has its headquarters in Austin (along with Dell) and they layed off my cousin....So yeah fuck motorola. :P

Actually they are almost right next to my house (figuratively speaking).

As far as being a n00b who doesn't understand Celluar technology - I design network systems that service over 178 million customers, and helps manage $2.3Trillion dollars in assets, while you're clerking away selling shitty phones and plans in your local AT&T mall shack.

So, STFU plz??

You seem like a smart guy......so why dont you take your phone back and exchange it As long as you havnt had it for 30 days you can exchange it. If its out of 30 days, then send it back to Motorola to be repaired. As far as you being a noob that doesnt understand cellular technology......my bad, i guess you know your shit. But Motorola's products are junk anymore. Look at the V60......every customer that has been stupid enough to buy that phone has broke the damn antenna off. The T720/721 are both softwear nightmares. And the new Mpx200....the windows based smart phone.....havent heard anything bad about it YET.....but that will soon change just because its windows based I dont recomment Motorola to anybody......and yes this goes for all you people that think Motorola is the "cool phone to have" just because PVD was in a their commercial

It's my third Mot720i phone... is there a cell phone lemon law of some sorts??? BTW, i'm on T-mobile now, AT&T was the company I dealt with before. over the 7 years that I was with them, they ripped me of a total of $3800, which i am suing them for.

I have a V70, which is the best looking mobile phone ever made.

however the software is awful, reception is the same, & i had to have the buttons replace once so far (ive had it about a 14 months)

But i still wont swap it because no phone looks as good as mine

such a poser.

I go with AT&T and I love my Nokia phone but I want to change it to that Sony Ericson T616.
Anyone have this phone and experience anthing negative about it please let me know before I make a purchase.

I have a Qualcomm Kyocera phone...its old as fuck, but I've never had one fucking problem with it.

Cant complain. Its not cool. Its not small. But it has the features I want--TO MAKE FUCKING PHONE CALLS WITHOUT ALL THAT OTHER BULLSHIT.

my friend has that phone and it has been nothing but problems for him too. He is on the 4 one in 1 month. he can't trade it in for another one because he is under some contract, and so all he can do is send it to motorola while they send him another one that doesn't work. What a piece of shit.

You didnt say what nokia phone you have so im not sure if your on gsm now or not. But if your already on gsm, go for the Samsung V206, the Siemens SL56, or any Nokia phone. Nokia, IMO, makes the best product period. But ive used the Samsung for a few months and was very happy with it. I know its a bit pricey, but it worked great....the menu was very easy to use plus it has a camera. Now im using the Panasonic GU87 and its ok but i hate the way the softwear is set up. I hope that helps.
