Hey Sean, sorry noone else has looked yet, probably because of the holidays some such. Anyway, I gave a listen and liked it quite a lot. What genre, technically, do you consider it?

Nice percs as well. Nice job.

Thanks for the comments =)

I guess I'd consider it trance, not sure how much I'd try to sub-categorize it, hehe.

This is a sweet tune. The sounds you've used fit together really well and as mentioned above, the percs sound quite good. I'm loving the almost xylophone sound...and the break beat is sick!

Only thing I'd suggest is beefing up the bass a bit. I like the bass you have, but it just needs a little more umph. What I hear is a deep, not over-powering bass coming in on the off beat, while that pattern is still playing. It'd give it a lot more drive. Either that or put another octave below that one...

Of course, that's just my opinion, it sounds good either way though.
Nice work.

Thanks for the comments!

I dropped it at the club last night and the bass was quite loud on a couple of the bassnotes and not loud enough for a couple of the other ones, so I'll pull out the powered sub and do some tweaking today, hehe.

hello!
i like this tune aswell!
it's got a nice feel to it

more bass, and more reverb to the synths would be awesome.
otherwise good production!

+1

btw, what does wasp spotting mean anyways?

Hah.

2 weeks ago I came up the melody instead of writing an English term paper that was due the next day. The essay was a comparison of the books "The Wasp Factory" and "Trainspotting". It was either "Wasp Spotting", "Trainwasping", "Wasp Training", or "The Train Factory". I think we can all agree that the last one is lame as hell, lol, and the first was just my personal favourite =P

Waspotting
Wasp Factor

I love that reverse crash you use. Sounds awesome.

Im not usually a big fan of phasers but you use it nicely.

Maybe bring out the pads a little bit more, they sound great, I think you should really bring them out during the climax.

Wouldn't mind remixing that, very nice melody.

Very interesting melody and key changes here, I liked that. The song is very solid, can't really find anything bad to comment on at all.

Good work
