what's up with people putting christmas light up before thanksgiving???...

what do you guys do...personally i think you shouldn't put them up at least until after thanksgiving, but there are always those neighbors that have them up before halloween...

obviously they need a life.

I'm gonna decorate my old neighbors house with lights..

he fucking hates them

GHEY

Even worse was the fucking American Idol Christmas special on a month before Christmas. Give me a break.

I dunno. I saw a report on the news last night where they were talking about radio stations who change their tracklist over to all Christmas songs the day after Halloween. It's starting to get out of control.

While we're on the subject, I think putting lights up for Halloween is the most retarded idea ever!

yeah i saw that on the news too...but i guess that people like to listen to it i can't explain stupidity...

I only like to listen to Christmas music within 7 days of Christmas. I don't need all this "getting into the spirit" shit, I'm too busy with work and school

And yes, for the record, if people put up lights for halloween they deserve to be kicked in the johnson.

It's tradition here to throw 'em up after the grey cup weekend.

'Here' as at my house.

It makes me a bit sad to realize how many North Americans are missing out on the beauty that is EDM. The only radio I can listen to is NPR, and sometimes some hate radio (when I want to be amused). Ok classic rock is good too, but damn those Nirvana copycat bands!! That's why I left that scene.

Thats a set thing with clear channel. My bro worked for a station that did that for the entire month of nov. and dec. They received soooo many complaints about it. But since some people in some statae somewhere in the US liked it, clear channel said everyone will like it.

I heard Glenn Beck froth at the mouth about how great it is to play X-mass songs early, it gets a bigger listener share and now radio stations have x-mass song wars (who starts earlier)... i say start right after Easter... You can never be too early, ya'll kno wha I mean?

I hate x-mass songs coz' they're more annoying than Alice DJ's "Better off Alone"... here's a track list that will stick in your head for a while:

1. Jingle Bells jingle bells jingle all the way!

2. When the weather outside is frigntning...

3. I'm dreaming of a white (supremacist) christmass...

4. Hark the angel....

5. O cum, o yee faithfull...

and so on...

GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWDDDDDDDDDD.... GIMME AN ASSAULT RIFLE AND SEND ME TO THE MALL!

damn pissed off non american, who put sand in your pee hole?. let us have a damn holiday in peace. what the fuk, its annoying seeing lights in october, and hearing the same 23 xmas songs all day.

The only logical explanation I would see is that they want to put them up before it gets too cold or before there's too much snow on the ground. I suppose the climate would have to be approrpiate for that to make sense.

It began in my state, just on the other side in Philly. One radio station did it last year and went from like 12th ranked in the city straight to #1. This year 2 stations in Philly are doing it and the "trend" has caught on in other major cites.

I can't stand listening to American radio anymore either. I used to listen to the local "Pop" station before I got into EDM and now my sister listens to it. It's sad what has happened to the station, MTV is now aired on it during the weekends and that "Open House Party" show I used to listen to on the weekend is now filled with rap and R&B. That show used to be good with remixes & dance tunes, but not anymore. Oh well I don't need radio, I have enough of my own music.

looks like it's a competition nowadays.

but dig this, last year there was a HUGE slump in christmas gift shopping graphs... i bet my ass this year large corporations will get ready early and BOMBARD us with so much crap consumer products, sales, and promotions, we won't be able to breathe...

gg, corporate america!

Lot's of folks down here in the south just leave Christmas lights up all year round. Kinda makes their trailers look nice...
