-- What song/party/friend got you started on trance?

For me, it was Robert Miles's "Children" in 1996. Since then, I've grown to LOVE trance music....as I look at the Children since cd in front of me (still gets some play time in my cd player).
>JM<
Zyon - No Fate, back in 1992 ... damn ...
since gabber went commercial, ive been into trance, now moving back to the somewhat harder house/trance/techno
X-ite - reaserch(93)
Airscape - Cruising(93) got me starting
i went to a small party in town with a friend. i had an amazing time... i will never forget two songs i heard there..
william orbitz - adagio
and bt - dreaming [libra mix ... i think?]
now i'm hooked
for me it was.. veracocha - carte blanche
Well....in terms of techno...I would have to say the following tracks lured me into the world of electronica:
U96-Das Boot (~'92)
The Phantom-Abyss (~'92)
Age of Love-The Age of Love (~'92)
The first trance track that got me into trace would have to be Juno Reactor-High Energy Protons (~'93).
The two tracks that got me into trance were..
Veracocha - Carte Blanche
Chicane - Saltwater
I remember hearing Carte Blanche for the first time at work, i'd never heard anything like it.. from then on I was hooked!
mmm
not sure..think it was my brother who brought a tape in of
Jean Michelle Jarre - oxygene around 1990
and from there went into Juno Reactor, Man With No Name and Orbital
92-95 - Goa
96-present - Oakey, Tiesto, PvD style (commercial trance)
Dj Jean - The Launch (about 8 months ago)
First time I heard this track it blew my mind!
I did not know music this powerful existed

I think Robert Miles - Children was the song that got me into that type of music. But it was probably Veracocha - Carte Blanche (Spelling?) that got me into trance even more.
for me it was
Josh Wink-Higher State of Consciousness
For an Angel - PVD, started it for ME!!!
Mmmmmmmmmm

Robert Miles - "Children"

I think it would be Children or maybe Better Off Alone. But hey, I am a newbie. The first electronic music I loved would be Daft Punk.
....is the cd skipping?
.peace.
Actually its the MP3 that made me like trance...
I used to like heavy metal music, and black metal... when I one weekend stayed at a friend, and he had the newest Prodigy album, which was Music for the Jiltes generation..
We ripped it to MP3 and copied it to my computer...
after that I've just been downloading more and more trance-mp3s...and started going to bigger and better partys....

Peace with the only drug (TRANCE)
Well back in the late 80s to early 90s i always like electronica music..One time my cousing put on Encore une fois and i really like it but i didnt know what kind of music it was.. You guys prob think i am nuts but video games with techno and trance music got me hooked. I remember I had a game called Streets of Rage for the Genesis and it had (still has) awesome music. Then when PSX was released, a game called Wipeout,it got me into techno or what ever it was..I know it wasnt trance. Then 2 years ago when they released the Wipe out 3 commercial i was very impressed with Sash's Xpander..Was totally blown away.. Too bad the rest of the track got boring..
If any of you happened to have came across jaydee.cz a year ago....
They used to have 20 or so random songs for download bi-weekly. Got hooked ever since.
Robert Miles - Children. I still love the song!
