that was a perfect night, she was soooooo into it and played some amazing tracks.
the crowd was incredible, always cherring for MB and WOAH!! she delivered.

her set was incredible, she played so many classics

Crazy Crazy Night, but I'm sure glad I came to my first techno night !!!

First, nice meeting everyone at the EDMM meeting, it was lots of fun !

Marco G was doing a great opening set, didn't know many of the tracks, but towards the end, he had everyone dancing hands in the air, ready for the technoqueen.
Only track I can remember from him is Tiesto - Traffic (Max Walder Remix).

Misstress Barbara came on and the crowd went nuts, the beats would go faster and faster and never stopped. The Occasional slow-down or lowering of the volume had everyone screaming hands in the air. Never thought techno nights had that much energy but the beats just keep you going. I only recognized a few tracks but I can't really recall many right now.

At 6am, I was actually considering leaving because I was falling asleep, but thanks to my buddy red-bull and Misstress Barbara's energy, I still danced until 7:45.
This is a night that I will never forget.

MISSTRESS BARBARA RAPED OUR EARS...The Build Ups were fucking amazing..so good that when the BASS kicked in ..it hurt your heart..My ears are still ringing..Psy Tranceer is an Animal...U Guys Should HAVE sEEN DJ NACHT AND RONGERRABBUIT tearing up the dance floor...great guys to part with......hears a list of events that occured...

1.) Psy trancer fell in love with the stripper dancing on the speaker.

2.) This slutyy girl all in whit was bitting guys cocks over their pants..total count= 4 guys

3.) Malek Pciked up sum blonde and brought her in the dj bouth..Then they disapeared...lol

4.)Ronger rabbit got excited and almost came his pants when the girl with triple five soul shirt was danciong tnext to us...

5.) Psytrancer's older brother as well as my older brother got picked up by a topless gay guy....

6.)Psy trancer orders 3 sausage mcmuffin trio's and almost has a heartattack lol

7.) I had one of those dreams when u thinking its really real and i woke up thinking i touched misstress barbara's boob..but then i realised i didnt so i ate a cookie..lol

p.s. what the hell was number 7 about ??? hahaha lol

That was me, and he didn't "pick me up." I know Malek - I didn't just meet him and Zing that night.

This is my proper review...

Got to Montreal a little earlier than planned at midnight. Went to a friend's, started the party, headed to Aria around 3. No problems getting in for those of us with tickets, but the others had guest list issues. Which is why I will always buy a ticket for Aria.

Go downstairs and see a fairly full club rockin out to Marco G from Quebec City. It wasn't really my flavor of techno - he was playing too hard for an opening time slot.

What impressed me instantly was the sound upgrades. I've never heard anything so crisp and clear. IMO it could not have been improved further...top notch. Doesn't compare to anything in Toronto.

Babs came on around 4:15, after unpacking six bags of records. As I saw her unpacking some obviously very old tunes, I started getting really excited for what was about to occur...

First hour or so was good but not the best she could do. Maybe I was still getting into it. Then she went on a tribal streak that just kicked my ass. Fast, complex tribal beats on 3 tables.

After that, out came the old stuff. Well, perhaps not old, but not the big-hit type of stuff she plays in a two hour set. Absolutely incredible. I'm still speechless....my friends and I gave each other so many looks of amazement when she would mix in yet another track that kicked our ass that we'd never heard before. She really is a DJ that needs 4+ hours to show her stuff because her skills really shine over a longer set.

And then the highlight of my night...Malek asking me if I wanted to go in the booth w/him. HOLY DREAM COME TRUE! I was able to watch her spin from about 2 ft away. (which at Aria is only 1 ft closer than outside the booth, but who's counting) I never thought I'd see the day when I got in the booth at Aria and nevermind in the booth watching Barbara work it for several hours.

Then everything stopped. One of the staff came into the booth at 10:45 and told her that the record she was playing was the last one. WHAT?! She was scheduled til 12, she was so obviously not done, she was so upset and the club was packed. As she turned down the volume, and the lights went up, the look of confusion was everywhere...no one understood what was going on. Barbara, obviously upset, begged for one last record, and then threw on the infamous remix of "you spin me." And then it was over.

As we filtered out to get our coats with several hundred other people (ugh), we walked by about 10 police officers in the club. Go out on to the street, there are cruisers everywhere. Very unnerving...no one knows for sure what happened, but someone went into cardiac arrest in the club and later died in hospital. Police shut everything down.

A very sudden and sad ending to what was the perfect night, in my books.
