Wow, I love it. Not sure if I like the bassline or not, but the melody and fx are awesome!

More housey stuff please.

Groovey stuff.

Nice breakdown, realy nice atmpshereic rising frequency pads, sets a nice feel, real groovey deep bass. Nice minimal stuff, bit to old schooly at 6:13 for me, but things are back rocking at 6:30.

Nice little tradmark sound from you in the 3rd quarter, getting all agressive, hehe. Real nice stuff for around 2am in the morning, feeling this.

this is some awesome stuff, haak!

imo, the pads that vanish at 01:28 should stay a minute or so.
the breakdown ambience is: wow! really tight the vocals are mint. the tune wouldn't be the same without them

great work! very well done. as said: more housey stuff please!

Comments as I listen:

Love the intro effects and lush housey pad.

Bassline OWNS! That was the last thing I expected! =)

Great percussions.

Nice vocator.

Lush breakdown, really like it. When the percussions kick in though I think you could use a very high filtered kick or similar type percussion on a 4 4 beat going with it.

Sounds dope when beat kicks back in.

Nice change of pace at 5:45, this is groovy.

AWESOME at 6:30, just awesome!

This is some brilliant lush tech house, I'm going to be all over this with your permission. Definitely getting dropped when I open for Steve Porter on NYE.

thanks for replies
been a while since i've looked at this, think i might freshen it up a bit, atleast try making the beat a bit more punchy

Posted by Az on Dec-01-2003 02:29:

it needs to be condensed, it seems way too long
apart from that it's pretty damn cool
maybe a bit more upbeat version?

Posted by DJ Dingel on Dec-01-2003 04:04:

I'm having trouble downloading it, I'll check back later to see if the problem is just momentary...

Posted by TOR on Dec-01-2003 10:52:

bassline rocks as usual.

not too fond of that pad actually, it sounds rather flat
otherwise it's pretty good, perhaps a bit too minimal..
effects are great though, lovely groove as well.

good track.

There's a lot of stuff in this to like, but that old-school sounding bit at 6'12'' really isn't my kinda thing...

Posted by noikeee on Dec-01-2003 15:58:

excellent stuff as usual, can't spot anything bad with the track, great bassline, pads and fx. pure quality.

what genre is this? tech house? sounds pretty proggy to me

Really cool track, love the intro sounds really good. And that wobbly bass is so cool

Wink

WHOAH! I didn't expect bassline either! OH MAN! This track is sounding so killer! Those vocals are beautiful, and the pads are nice as ever! The synth work is incredible, very deep housey sounds, and a lush atmosphere. Now, this song is incredible my friend!

Love the SFX, love the atmosphere, and the message that it brings out! I definetly feel relaxing vibes coming from this song! Great work Haak!!! I LOVE IT! -Mental

I would say deep house with a small techno influence, deep house is the best, hehehe.

Posted by Sean Walsh on Dec-05-2003 20:58:

Nah, deep house is considered something completely different, it's the Miguel Migs, Naked Music style stuff. This is pretty much straight-up techhouse.

Certainly not tech house in my choice of catogisations and i play tech house, but everybody has there own opinions on genres, there is no set status, radical. Besides i was just bumping the thread, wheeeeeeeehehehe.

I was never a big fan of house but I have to admit that this track sound very good. Maybe if there more of this kind I'd get hooked on house too, you never know. Very nice production. Cheers...

This is top notch stuff, more of this stuff would be great...

Excellent work

Good work! Very dreamy track! Thanks for the link!

Love this...

judging from your playlists haak, this is what I'd expect you to be producing...and not the likes of frenzy.

Posted by [mart] on Dec-08-2003 18:47:

Mmmm, this is Quality. I can't really fault it; there's just a few unimportant personal nuances, like the occasional loss of impetus which could be helped with a few extra effects here and there, and perhaps an ickle bit of trimming to prevent any 'dragging'.

Not one to always focus on the negatives though ( ), I love the bassline, the pads, the progression...it's excellent work, congrats.
