Necto 2004 Line-Up..
I want to squash any and all rumours that The Necto will not be continuing Lust Thursdays in 2004. I have taken over the booking duties and will continue to bring in a great variety of DJ talent to Ann Arbor, Michigan. We will be bringing in artists of all electronic genres. Some artists that we have had at The Necto before will be returning. Others will be making their first appearance ever, not only at The Necto, but in Michigan and in the mid-west.
January 8th: #20 DJ in the world according to DJ Mag: Eddie Halliwell

This is a show that you are not going to want to miss. We are excited to have Eddie as a kick off to our 2004 line-up. His live remixing, scratching, and genre-bending is a feat that you have to experience.
Eddie Halliwell is becoming well-known for his unique style, not only in the clubs across the North of England where he has played most frequently, but also nationally and now internationally. DJ Magazine's 2002 survey placed him in the Top 40 of DJs internationally, which is a phenomenally rapid rise to fame. Eddie followed up his top 40 finish in 2002 with a top 20 finish in 2003!
Eddie combines hard tunes with superb scratching effectively re-mixing live! He's both a born showman, interacting with the crowd and working them up to a frenzy, as well as an extremely accomplished technician on the decks.
Eddie's initial guest appearances included Totally Mashed and Good Greef in Manchester, Jump in Sheffield, and Sundissential North in Leeds. He then went on to secure residencies with Raukous at Bed in Sheffield, Sundissential in Birmingham , Garlands in Liverpool and Gatecrasher.
In 2001 he toured South Africa and January 2002 saw MixMag featuring Eddie's talents with a free cover CD, Bosch! Those who had heard only that CD got a hint of what he can do. It was an appetiser to a main course best enjoyed live, in part because he jealously guards his scratching technique - before he became recognised nationally he would never release demo or promo CDs in case other DJs could work out what he was doing!
After a productive time with the Tidy Trax DJ agency, in 2002 Eddie switched to join Serious after being approached by Judge Jules, (the agency run by his brother Sam), and one of the most influenctial and significant in the UK.
Here is the tracklisting of his CD which was including in a past issue of MixMag:
01. Marco Bailey - Heat
02. Christian Varela - Underground Station
03. Rino Cerrone - Rilis 9 B1
04. Mauro Picotto & Riccardo Ferri - New TIme New Place
05. Renato Cohen - Pontape
06. DK - Murder Was The Bass
07. Igor S - Boomerang
08. Nu NRG - Dreamland
09. Basic Dawn - Pure Thrust (Nu NRG Mix)
10. Marzz - Orbiter
11. Arome - Hands Up!
12. Legend B - Love In Love
13. Prime Mover - Black Dogs
14. Wippenberg - Neurodancer

^^^^^ hahahah yep,,,,anything proggy,techy, or breaky
binzo's new job
nice work binzo...i posted this on DCS as well, but I think the Necto has saved their ass by having you take over that guy's job. I think its just super that Marco V will be in Ann Arbor to party. I know that night won't be boring, thats for sure. You should make sure the walls are reinforced for his beats, ohhhhh! You like my jokes? Anyway, I still love Tranceaddict.com, because here everyone likes the music no matter what. Barely anybody on here says anything negative which makes the environment so dope. After reading a couple threads on DCS where all they did was complain, I really wish all of you Tranceheads from Detroit would come back and keep posting on TA rather than DCS. Its sad having to go to another website to find things that I used to be able to find here with ease. I mean Chicago is starting to super-dominate this thread, something the city of Detroit should fight, peacefully of course. Anyway, thanks for the djs binzo! I can't wait to party in 2004!
