This might be a stupid question but do you have any mp3 players for sale????
Ummm, nope...
I'm only gonna sell them for the next week.
Can't belive only one person wants one.
Hmmm abit expensive considering that you can buy a infty MP3 player that plays a shitload more than what an MD would play...
Oh wells... does look nifty
32-minute skip-free playback, a built-in FM tuner and extended battery life up to 55 hours.
and the fact that CD's cost 50c and hold 700+MB of mp3's
am in love with mine
[since the word comes up in every thread,]

lol @ total hijack of MD! I have an MD and I can't stress how dissapointed I am in sony for some of the decision they made with this technology. All the copy protection shit, the way-too-late arrival of a PC interface, and their shit quality ATRAC codec. The only good thing about MD is the media, cheap, but still small, rewritable and randomly accessable. Sad to say MD's days are over as far as I'm concerned. _|_ to sony, losers.

Mm, there are flaws with MDs, but don't think they're a useless technology. They're probably still the best media for recording whether straight off the decks or a lecture through a microphone, as solid state memory devices and hard drive based players still have a long long way to go in this area.
You can also go jogging and stuff with MD players - you definitely can't do that with an iPod or Nomad Jukebox, and not really with an iRiver player either.
I agree there are big design flaws with them, but they still do have their place in the sun.
I have the MD player that is for sale. I have already had this debate with wade about MD and iPod.
I was so close to buyin an iPod, but i didnt really like the 10gig one so was going for the next one up which was pretty expensive. Now the MD player i have retails for like $800, now for that price i wouldnt buy it, but i got a good deal (like the one above, but better) so i bought it. I mean its tiny, weighs barely nothing and the batter lasts the week for me travelling to and from work everyday an hour each week.
I dont see the problem with this check in check out stuff? It dosnt affect me, i transfer the mp3 onto my MD player then when im finished i transfer it back, which takes all of 5 seconds? I can do this as much as i want cause once you check it back in it returns to 3. So whats the big deal there?
Only problem i have with it is, when i record a set of mine, i cant just import it via usb, i have to record it via the line-in on my pc. thats my only issue with it.
But yea i was very close to buying an iPod, but i dont need 10, 20 gig what ever, i mean i listen to a set a few times and im done with it, i download that many i only have the time to listen to them 2 - 3 times, so the MD is fine for that.

| Originally posted by webmeister Battery life is about 10-12 hours, charging takes about 2 hours from empty to full. It can also trickle power via USB from a computer, though it can't recharge via USB. Unit size is slightly bigger than the iPod. Sound quality is better than the iPod, Creative have been making audio hardware from day one, so the audio meets the highest standards. Normally when you spend a crapload of money on something you have some occasional pangs of regret, but I've never had one about this. Extremely happy |
[Creative have only just started using their own hardware on their sound cards again, since after SB 16 (i think?) they outsoruced their chip and had it made by someone else, hence they don't get used by producers. IF Creative were good audio, they'd certain have professional producers using them (where as every1 loves Apples for production ;P)]
