One and only official X-Mass/Channukah/Kwanza gift wish list

Allow me to be the first one to pop the question...

What would you want for (insert your winter holiday of choice here - adjusted to be politically correct) present this holiday season?

Hey, I know we all have a mile long list of crap we'd wanna get... If it was only one thing (yes, forgive my consumerizm but "Peace on Earth" is not on the menu) you'd want for holliday, what would it be? List only one, most coveted precious gift...

p.s. no, you cannot have my precious ring, Mr. Frodo....

For me:
iRiver iHD-120

Why the heck you'd want to have a 2000 sqft bathroom???

and condo??? CONDO???? ugh... collegefolk... one never realizes the beauty of single house right up until the first house party and police raid with a logical outcome: Noise Citation...

Hope u get it tho... But squeezing that bathroom through the chimney will be one hell of a trick...

I want a pair of decks - any decks really, I'm so desperate Anyway, my mom thinks they are a bad idea, hence, no dice. She says that if I REALLY cared enough, I'd find someone who does it and talk to them (locally). I try telling her I've scoured the net reading reviews/opinions/talking to people/etc, but that doens't count to her, cause it's the 'net, and she's old like that.

Since you're from Philly... IF you're in the vicinity of Oxford Valley Guitar Center, go in there and talk to Colin (really scarry RobZombie-lookalike dude). He does it for livin' and cool guy too. He's my dealer I buy all my junk from him... (well, whenever I can't wait for e-bay)... BTW, whatever u do, don't get belt-driven decks... Also, check out Danon TT's, I think it's D-150 - direct drive and as close to Technics as you can get on this side of $150 per deck.

But... technical question... is pair of turntables really considered a single gift or double gift?

p.s. maybe your mom is intentionally "time stretching", so that she can beatmatch your gift to the holiday season, without trainwrecking her budget...

Just a thought...

challenging... I was faced with the same dillema... shell out $120 grand for 1 bedroom condo in center city or same cash for 2-bedroom townhouse in an upscale suburb... that was 3 years ago... My townhouse appreciated to sell at sweet $190K... meanwhile, the condo in center city appreciated to heart-breaking, ass-kicking, head-against-the-wall-bashing, super-cool $230K....

sucks... no? There goes my 2nd wish - a new car.. vrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooom....

I live in the suburbs now(NJ Side) but a house is too much room right now and I dont feel like dealing with a fixer-upper. Condos work well for me for that matter and since I travel a ton I dont have as much upkeep or things to deal with that I would with a house

I'll be eating dinner in Olde City tonight. My friend owns the italian restaurant on market between front & 2nd called Dipalma's then we are off to Tribecca for their tuesday night fights

I am always in this area as this is my usual stomping grounds

120k??? damn you missed out...

My father and I own a strip of apartment buildings near the art museum. I wouldn't live in them but they pay the mortgages for us hehe. I dont want to live in center city because I'm not too keen on paying the city wage tax. Living in jersey I don't have to

well, i guess the choice comes down to whether you'll look cooler driving a car or having decks + extra cash.
