The last samurai

I cant wait to see this movie, looks very good. I think it will be up there with Braveheart and Gladiator. Tom Cruz and Ken Watanabe do a pretty good job in the movie from what i have seen in the trailers and the special on HBO.

Also, i am pretty sure there will be a few EDM songs created form the Soundtrack of this movie since Hans Zimmer did the soundtrack.

anyone else looking forward to this movie?

Movies such as Last Samurai are maufactured, marketed, and geared towards winning awards. There is no way that this movie will bomb because not only is there is way too much promotion and star power, the studios and producers made sure that every element of what makes a good movie is seasoned just enough for people to react to it and praise it. When you return from the theater, come back to this thread and praise the movie. You'll just feed into exactly what the studios and Oscar voters ask of you. Sorry to sound a bit like 1984 (or that French philosopher who's slipping my mind at the moment...you know, the one that stated that revolutions by the oppressed minority are merely fulfilling the desires of the ruling class...the socio-political philosophy behind Matrix: Reloaded?? Anyone?? Beuller??), but that's the reality behind it...

I still stick to my word and say that Cold Mountain will be the movie of the year.

A female friend of mine got into a sneak preview of the flick. She loved it. Gave it a "Movie of the Year" award.

This might sound weird... but I really want to see the new Peter Pan movie. It looks so cute

A rookie by the name of Vadim Perelman. He's more famous for directing a few of the Mastercard "Priceless" commercials. From what I read, his strengths are storytelling and visuals.

He's directing the Stephen King novel "The Talisman" as his next project...
