Michael Andrews Ft Gary Jules - Mad World Grayed Out Mix

boy ohhh boy!! was listening to the dj tiesto set from gatecrasher nec and this was the first tune in his set .. man what a tune .. what a remix! Im in love
anyone have any info on that track?? other than its an 80s cover of a tears for fears tune??

*edit* the CDS will be released 15 December, 2003

This is such an awesome trance remix!!

and what is it that tisto does with this record that make it sound so nice (besides pitching it up apparantly..)

i dont have any info on this besides that the 'original' of the cover is from the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

"All around are familair faces, noyone knew me, noyne knew me"

Great song, heard it the first time in the movie Donnie Darko, and now a remix, woei!

yeh I just heard it, nice remix, will the CDS feature this remix? If not, any vinyl release date?
Only think I don't like about it is that it's this huge happy trance with an anthem feel, and the original is just so sad and depressing, that I think a sad melody would have been better... but oh well, this is for clubbing purposes..
btw Donnie Darko was one of the best movies I've seen last year!

haha it fits perfectly at the end of donnie darko. gave my goosebumps.

there were a buncha cheesy covers to this track in the past. the

pulsedriver remix of it was actually pretty good. its about time

this track got some proper remixes!

yes it was quite good cuz it was from the start of 2001 when pulsedriver was still making good stuff and wasn't yet the cheese master

yea ... pulsedriver used to be quality. why did he let the money

get to his head? same with dj sammy, he's perfectly capable of

making quality tunes, it's just that he'd rather appeal to the

mainstream market. *sighs*

I dont think the one need the other, i can't say the remix beat and build etc isnt nice, just think if the two stayed separate they would of been better, the vocals didnt need it.

I hope so, it's fecking class. I first heard it while watching Donni Darko but kinda forgot about it. Then a few months later Radio 1 are playing it left, right and centre. Good stuff, I cant wait to hear Andy's remix.

the grayed out mix is awful, not what I was expecting at all, would love an infusion mix or someone of a similar style

I have to agree, his is the biggest pile of shite i have heard in ages.
The original track is great but this remix is very poor- the production is shoddy and the overall mix is beyond amature.
how this Grayed Our person is getting full releases on such high profile tunes is beyond me !
This just drives mw on more to finish my own remix.

Mind you, I would love to hear a gariel & dresden remix

No disrespect to you, bren f

but this isn't just some "Grayed out guy". He has alot of talent and NEW producer's need to pay some fucking respect.

I like the remix and obviously so did tiesto, or he wouldn't of played it.

thanks, andy gray still rocks.

Andy Gray has a tremendous amount of talent and is of course somewhat of a legend, and is capable of much better then this remix which I found very dissapointing. Esp considering the amount of potential this tune has remixing-wise.
Sorry but its still a thumbs down from me.

In my opinion anyway
