Please people... (my rant)
1. If you are a producer, and want to get feedback, DON'T POST IN MUSIC DISCUSSION. It doesn't matter how good you are, there is probably someone in here that is MORE talented than you are yet still posts here.. (for ex. haak, mk-s, dj cutoff, endre, mart, etc..)
2. Don't come in here thinking you are the SHIT. People don't care how good you think you are. If you are good, then people will say so. If your production skills need improvement, many of us will gladly help.
that's all i felt like getting out of my chest today... i feel better now
That's interesting. Perhaps they post in music discussion because they will get more responses? Who knows? But I've seen some kids come in here, and say they are awesome, and in fact, they need a lot of help :|
But, I love posting critiques whenever I get a chance. It feels good saying what I feel about another persons music - especially when the song affects me emotionally. -Mental
tranzmental... you are really awesome with your posts in this forum... keep up the good work!!
i wish i had more time to listen to all the tracks posted in here... but man... engineering just takes the life out of ya...
Thanks a lot man! I appreciate that, coming from you since, your an awesome poster too! Helping out new producers like 'DJZero' from Australia and such. You gave him MANY pointers, and I applaud that. In other words, your don't have nothing to hide, and you don't mind giving another producer, who has the potential to skyrocket a chance. In other words, you give out some of your techniques without worrying about him stealing your ideas - that takes a lot of guts! Some people keep their techniques to themselves with pride, but you are definetly unselfish, humble, and talented yourself.
I take your words seriously, along with 'State of the Matter'. That user is another genious with sound. I would like to hear his material, along with yours. I don't know if you remember me posting my track back in October (Jared Kesler - Sunset Prelude Tranzmental Mix) but that was the only work that I've posted here, that was quite respected. Although it had it's imperfections, I did try my best, for my first attempt on these boards.
Getting a bit off topic, I love writing - it's my passion, and I can't stop sometimes. That's why I love posting reviews sometimes. I also see that you like to write yourself, so I can commend that.
I wish to see more of your posts in the future!
Thanks for the great compliments! -Mental
I agree with your points of course.
Wish more of the people here posted worthwhile reviews though. It seems almost arbitrary which tracks generate 50 replies and others 4. I've listened to some amazing tracks in this forum that almost no one has bothered replying to. I know it takes a lot of time to do it, but hey, do unto others...

I must say I've been impressed by the contributions made to this forum by the four users above this post... Keep it up guys!
And yes, kewlness makes a very valid point indeed.

This is possibly an answer.

Also;
If you never give feedback to anyone don't expect me to give any back to you either. It's not a one way road.
There are certain semi-regulars here (no names mentioned) who only come here to spam (however good the tunes may be, it is still spam) their tracks and start bitching if they don't get enough feedback (even if it would be more than most people get).
Exactly. Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself.
Actually to be honest, there's a LOT of good music posted here and the reward for listening and reviewing should be the fact that you got the opportunity to listen in the first place.
theres a lot of good valid points made in here and all the people who have replied so far make huge contributions towards this forum. you've actually inspired me to make a better contribution towards others
Id class myself as a "semi-regular" (aside from the spamming and moaning side!), but only of late due to me getting a new PC and having troubles with it, also examinations at school
So sorry all, i'll try me best to get back going again!

Kewlness you are right..
It's stupid to abuse TA forums to try to get fame for your self..if you are good and a decent guy/girl, than you deserve it, if not, than you can ask what to improve about your tracks, and thats the cool thing about TA!
Nik, i agree with you also, if you wan't feedback at least give some.
me personally, i give feedback sometimes, but not often, i do download alot of tracks though, but i can't give feedback on all, as you already know i ain't that experienced in producing yet, so i mite be talking crap in my feedback or critisem.
i think more people have that problem.
Ya gotta admit though, even if people have time, their attention and feedback usually goes to the more popular TA producers - Haak, Endre, ya know the bit. This is understandable, because people know they will hear quality, but like others have pointed out, there's a lot of quality tunes that people will pass over because there aren't many replies or they don't recognize the name.
For example -
Haak - Frenzy (Sean Foely mix) = 29 replies
en2t - If I could = 5 replies
Thanks MK-S! Of course you already know that you contribute a lot to this board with some great 'hit' remixes. (and originals)
As of Late Kewlness, Sean, Mr.Mystery, DJ Cutoff, Haak, Endre, and many others have been surprising me with what they are contributing, and how smart they post. Just wanna give it up to those guys. -Mental
thanks guys.. i try my best to be helpful when i can
I'm just amazed at how much more talent this forum produces now compared to 1 or 2 years ago... simply amazing... I still remember posting a track a while ago which was total crap but still got pretty decent reviews
but there are a lot of people who i haven't mentioned who definately have a lot of talent (you know who you are
... I just don't want to start naming people because I will always leave out someone)... It seems like yesterday when an artist on here getting signed was the biggest thing in the forums; but times have changed, and it seems that more and more people are getting their tracks released... And even to the majority who don't have their tracks released, there is some pretty damn good stuff being made in here...
just felt like sharing how cool it is to see such an active and talented forum of producers
