Question So, what do you think about MC in livesets?

My opinion: I think some mc are good, for example the club O mc roxx and pete tong. But some mc from netherlands/germany, they cant speak english at all, they just say fuck fuck and fuck.

I don't like MC's. They ruin the tracks and talk on moments thy better keep their mouth. Never heard one good MC. So no MC's for me

basically i dont like MC but sometimes it's nice and help you feel your in a LIVE show and gives some energy... (like the MC in tiesto live @ energy)

but most of the times the MC's sucks and ruin the tracks like the MC in tiesto live @ qontact (the MC sucks big time - what an ugly voice!!!)

mc suxx

mc suxx
a good example to proove that is Marco V - Live @ Mysteryland 2001
the mc there is VERY annyoing!

i dont really understand it should be mc's when dj's play on events...
they just screw it up for those who listens to the livesets

Posted by krusader on Jul-22-2001 19:08:

mc's just tend to ruin the energy of a liveset... not fun at all

I would have to say some MCs are good and bad. The one from Tiesto's Dutch Dimetion set is just fucking stupid. I like the guy from Van Dipens Dance Dept, and Tong does good intros. The point of the MC in my opinion is to introduce the DJ, and then just fade out. Not sit there and talk up a storm while you are trying to listen to the music.

Thumbs down

Forget about MCs. They mostly ruin the track. Its ok to present your track in the beginning, but then you should shut up and let the music do its work...

Posted by tranceDJ on Jul-23-2001 02:55:

I hate MC's but if they must be there, they should only be doing the following: Introducing the DJ and shutting up as soon as the music starts and to be quiet the rest of the set and maybe say, "make some noise for ..." once the set has ended. If MC's do anything other than this (talking during songs is the WORST) then they should be killed.

MCs gotta burn in hell. Roast alive. They destroy everything. Like the Marco V - Live at Mysteryland set. Or, at the shitty rave that was hosted a month ago up around Downsview (at the Luxor).

Smile mc sometimes good

i loved the mc in tiesto live at energy he made the set more pumped to me and made it more sxciting
just depends if he knows when to go off and when not to

m00

Unnecessary.

I think MC's actually ADD to the set at times. The MC for Judge Jules during Qontact 4-30-01 is a good example. When he spun Martin Eyerer-Heaven (Stoker's 2001 Remix) about 50 mintues into the set.. Oh my God! that was badass!

Posted by jeronemango on Jul-24-2001 09:13:

gosh dont get me started about this lol... fuc$%^$#!!! i hate MCs with a passion if u ever travel to Adelaide south australia and a DJ called RMAC is playing dont go !! he thinks its cool to MC after ur spun ur set ,, well this guy wont shut the f#$%!!!! up .. he puts on these terminator type sunnies and thinks hes all shit hot and starts yelling ,,

the only mc i liked was energy 2000 and judge jules qontact

that guy in marcoV set is just a total fool ..

also they need to cut down on the ads during summer sound system ,, like home many times do you need to repeat "mashing it up in the mix" and that girl saying "essential" over and over god i'll give her an "essential " fucking if she dont shut up hahah

ok im way to hyper

later
