What to add to my DJ setup ??
Im in the market for something new to add to my dj setup in my house. I currently have:
- Technics SL1200
- Pioneer DJM 500
- Final Scratch
- Pioneer HDJ1000 (headphones)
I'm looking at cd players. I was thinking of the Pioneer CDJ 1000mk2 cd players. They look great. Any other upgrades i should consider ?

either a solid pair of headphones (if you dont already have) or CD decks, or both
I just picked up a pair of CDJ800's yesterday, man Im in love with these things. amazing
their a lot cheaper than the 1000mk2s, fewer features, etc... pretty much does everything I need to do perfectly
loop, scratch amazingly, 0.05% pitch steps, great peice of machinery
wayyyy cheaper than the 1000MK2s, check it out

Well you seem to have pretty much everything that a DJ needs, so either get the CD deck, or go all out and buy a club.
or get final scratch.

You have a good DJ setup. I would say buy better sound equipment (amp, speakers, sub whatever).
or buy some headphones and final scratch
Just kidding... Do you have good monitor speakers yet?
I have Gemini monitors, they suck ass.
But there real cheap 80.00. I think im gonna go for the cdj1000, then get new monitors.
There is a lot to add!
Pioneer EFX-500 - this allows you to control the FX much better than the unit integrated in the DJM.
Redsound C-loop - Easy to use Dj sampler, small learning curve, great results!
M-audio BX5 monitors - i have them, they are amazing for mixing, although not very good for production (lack a bit in the low end)
Pioneer CDJ1000MK2, Denon S5000 - great cd players... but if you have Final Scratch, why buy them? Just rip the cd's to your portable, wav quality!

Get yourself a spot at a local club (If you don't already) and put your skills to good use. Get accustomed to performing your mixes for people in club environments and then start thinking about how you can take yourself to the next level.

before i get my balls chewed off i know he has Final Scratch
How about FS 1.1 if you dont already have that version. Much better than FS 1.0x - more features, better interface and most importantly more stable and less prone to crashs.
and now i know im gonna get my balls chewed for this one...
2 x Numark TTX1
He he,
If I had the choice I would probably sell Final Scratch and buy new vinyl.
Cheers
