What CD-Rs to use?!?!
I'm going to burn some CD's for my friend who is DJ:ing on Kos this summer, until september actually. I've burned hundreds of CD's before, whit great success, but my small problem this time is that I wont use the same label on the CD-Rs. I have got 30 Maxell CD-R XLs and I'm planning to use them instead of buying new ones of the same label I'm used to use. I guess tt should work but I can't risk anything coz once on Kos it's way too late for me to correct the misstake. The Maxell CDs are light green/blue/yellow so I don't know how they will work, then once I've used before are TDK blue once. Anyone know how this Maxell CDs work with a ie Numark CDMIX-1 or any other "DJ CD player"?? I really need to know before I start burning which should be tomorrow...
aaaaaaaahhh
Make sure you use 1x-16x high quality cd-r's they work really well
and almost anything picks up on it
except for Sony
Right now I'm using Memorex BLACK 1x-16x cd-r's they're amazing
Don't use those blue TDK ones - my friend had a few of those, and about the only thing we found that could read it was a computer CD-ROM drive!
Also, any CD-R's that have a silver writable surface to give the illusion that they aren't CD-R's, are awful. Steer clear!
Any CD-R's produced by BASF/EMTEC seem to be pretty solid. I reccommend trying these.
I personally think that TDK's and Memorex's are shit so I would stay away from those as those are constantly flawed. If I were you I would get some Imations.
I use BASF cd's. Great quality and not very expensive.
it's true
