Use dBpowerAMP Music Converter to convert the mp3 to a file with a lower bitrate.

Probably your song is still 128 or 192 kpbs, so make it a mp3 with a bitrate lower than 56kbps and post it in the ID forum, as the file size will be smaller (and the quality worst - but you can listen without problems)

If you want to cut a part of the song, use MP3Cutter 4.0

But Hey, that's not the right way to extract audio from a mpeg file..

You'll have to use some program like Virtual Dub ( http://www.virtualdub.org ), wich will make an .wav out of the mpeg, and then you convert the wav to mp3 using dBpowerAMP

Hmm i dont seem to be able to post a sample at all. The samples bitrate is only 48kb and frequency is 8000hz. The file is only 250kb. I just keep getting a msg saying -
