Hopefully im done w/ UW after this term... but then its Work work work while getting mah professional degree via a DE program thru the institute.... oh well, atleast im outta UW hell......

i have no money! I need to work ! I NEED MONEY!!!

Posted by Enraptured on Dec-08-2003 04:24:

It has been MAAAAANY moons since my shadow darkened the door of any educational institution... I did two years at UWO... didn't really like it, dumped it, and now I'm working. Doing pretty well too. Not having the degree hasn't hurt me at all. If I ever feel there's a ceiling, I'll finish it off, but it doesn't seem likely. There's nothing quite like JOB EXPERIENCE.

I have two ungergrads, one in Criminal Justice (1996), one in Computer Information Systems (2001), and I've been an IT Consultant for several years (as well as a personal trainer for a while). I'll be done with grad school (Educational Computing) Dec 2004.

Posted by Fir3start3r on Dec-10-2003 00:23:

School?
Huh sonny?...

Long and dead in these memory cells...waste of time that it is...*I mean! no! Rock on!!

(Just don't take school as the be all and end all of your REAL education...)

Posted by shawn2331 on Dec-10-2003 00:37:

no school for me i fish on a 400+ foot F/T an am already above people who have college education. not trying to brag but i'm just saying schools not as important as some make it out to be. it's all about what you do with it that counts.

its also a country club - its a private one, so we have a zillion functions. plus we have curling and other shit during the winter. dec alone is better money than all june - aug

I don't trust the school system with educating me. I prefer to do it myself. And unlike the other 99.998% of the people who say that end up up fvcking nowhere, i actually mean it
