i was wondering what is actually the best VST instrument for making cool basslines.

there isn't a VST that is BEST for bass, tranceleads, techno leads, strings, pads etc.... etc.... etc.... etc.....

Most VST instruments that are more than decent can make you a good bassline.

However, if you want the ultimate VST for bass, look no further than the Spectrasonics Trilogy.

This is the next item on my purchasing list, hehe.
