DJ'S over-creating

Why do some DJ's start over-creating when all they have to do is be themselves? You go to hear a specific DJ because you know what kind of music they spin. They do it for the most part during the night, then they start spinning some wild sounding stuff (I guess they think they are being super creative) that to me sounds like noise. And to top it off they have the sound system up too loud. All it does it give you a headache. That's so annoying...
