Attention Techno Lovers.....

I was just listening to the recent Essential Mix by Valentino Kanzyani from Dec 6, 2003...and I need your opinions

I am new to techno.....I have NO clue what is considered good or bad....if any of you have taken a listen to this set....gimme your opinions if you don't mind.....

I would like to know what real techno lovers think of this set

Ho many of them where, i like trance ( i'd guess about 20 % )
How many of them where to say that ( and i quote ) PVD RULES/ ARMIN RULES/ FERRY RULES / TIESTO RULES ( I'd guess about 50 % )
How many was to promote your own dj skills/radio show ( I'd guess 10 % )
So that leaves us with ... about 10 % of your post to be usefull ... wich means .... Meat's more usefull than u

Yeah ... he's also A LOT ( i mean it in every way possible ) ... A LOT ( well .. ) A LOT more usefull than me ( Have i been usefull once ?? i mean only once ???? that would be a debate ! )

VALENTINO ROCKS!!

I remember being very impressed when I caught his Aria set in March with Umek. He stole the show that night, as I was there mostly to see Umek. I haven't heard that set in particuliar, but I have heard about a dozen or so of his sets.. always solid, good track selection. His productions are stellar as well, I like his stuff on Recycled Loops which is mostly crossover-friendly stuff. So you hear a lot of house djs dropping those tracks.

Hasan, I can hook you up with PLENTY of good techno, I'll find stuff for you similar to the set you mentioned if you want.

that valentino set it's perfect to show you one face of techno. he plays some good tracks there so you are on the good and right path :P

second alec. wtf is with that tracklist. most of those are considered trance and the others are crossover tracks that everyone plays.

Thank you Raul.....you and Kate finally got this thread back on track..and the opinion is appreciated.....cuz I actually like the set.....the first time I ever liked techno

and way to go for telling Alec exactly what he is.....a damn fool

please I ain't no fool, its a good set for hasan to start off with, its not intimidating and its fun, its not all techno, but is hard!

Also Kate was at beyer not Dan, it was her friend Selena and her sister, which looks a fair bit like her sarah!

man there's plenty of "soft fluffy techno" out there ... too bad im not at home to give you a few names
