CD Text - Is it really Possible ??

I must of burned over 2000 cd's in the last 3 years and i have never been able to get the CD TEXT to display on any CDR, pref on my Kenwood System in my car, My CDR supports CD Text and is enabled but does not burn the text onto it, is this really possbile , it would be nice to have the CD Text rather than Track 01. Any ideas. cheers

Whoever decided on the CD standard not including song titles was an idiot.

You need a CD-Writer that supports CD text...a lot of the newer ones do. You also need to make sure that you have CD text enabled on your burning software. With these two things, you should be seeing the CD text on your player.

I wish all CD's had CD text...some do, but it's very few.

I never had any problems with it.

I found as well that my deck will not display any text unless it's ID3v1. If it's ID3v2 it does not show.

If you read you deck manual it tells u what tag version it will read, its a pain in the ass but u can use tag utility to retag ur music with the version u need.

Uh yeah, all of the above. Text shows on my CD Walkman just fine. Make sure it reads in Winamp the way you want it instead of default file. In Winamp use the View File Info utility. Fix it there and it might fix your other problems.
