Wanna help a newby?

Hey all, don't flame too hard, I've looked around for this info, can't find it, figured I may as well ask. Anyhow, as the name may suggest I just got into trance and electronic music, fave club in Toronto is System Soundbar. Anyhow, what I was wondering is if someone could breakdown the differences between the genres of electronic music for me. Like what's the difference between trance, progressive, happy hardcore, house and all that.

Cheers

I would say that the differences are in the BPM's (Beats Per Minute). If you listen, you will notice that Happy Hardcore is way faster than Trance. That is not the only difference... I had a site somewhere in my bookmarks which described the differences. If I find it, I will post it here for you.
