Lead Synth
ok now Im new here and to the whole producing game. Curious to know if anyone can help me make a template...so to speak, I want to lean towards afterburn - winter sun...just something to work with so I can get my feet off the ground and absorb the whole composing concept. Ive got fl studio as my host, NI pro -53, novation v and bass station, ppg wave 2, albino, rgc audio z3ta+ running as vsts. other than the lead does this seem like an alright setup? any kind of help would be great. please email me at [email protected]
I haven't heard the song you mentioned and I don't really know what you're talking about when you say "template". As of getting your feet of the ground, the best way, as alway, is to test everything and experiment!
I have to comment on one thing... That's a nice setup for a guy who's just getting into production, you must be very rich if you can afford all that software to start with
Don't worry, your secret's safe with me
Oh and the synths you have now are pretty much all you need (actually you really just need 2 synths
). There are always some other cool synths out there, but the ones you have already are capable of pretty much everything (I have them all myself)
Ok ive got a sample of it...Its short, now Im sure its a pad, but how can I replicate that type of sound? anyone know of a tutorial of some sort....Im playing around with these programs as much as possible, but its a tad difficult to make anything worth listening to if I dont know what the hell Im doing. Thanks for at least looking at this thread

sounds like you've got yourself a setup. it also wouldn't really hurt to tack on Reason 2.5.
