-26C is nothing!

i remember back in ukraine school being closed because it was -35C and there was no heat because... well, lack of money / etc.

we'd just go outside and hang out on the streets in the snow, playing soccer!

a few days ago it was like -5C here in Amherst and everyone's like wearing double coats and gloves and hats and i'm in a jacket with only a shirt underneath, no hats, no gloves...

that happens at least once every winter for us here where i live, but usually the school wont close unless it is -40 or more.

Would ODing on perscription sleeping pills hurt at all?

Not another aplz!

It wouldn't "hurt", but it will leave you all fucked up, and possibly kill you, depending on how many you take. And if you survive, your stomach will be all fucked up for days

haha, reminds me of my good times in public school in Cold Lake AB. School's wouldn't close unless it was like -45C (or freezing rain).

Posted by torontotrance on Dec-11-2003 21:29:

but remember it is still fall in Canada. -40C happens a few times a year in toronto and calgary and edmonton but remember this is early december. It's not winter yet...so the place is COLD.

Posted by shawn2331 on Dec-11-2003 21:32:

i work in -40 degrees 15 hours a day 7 days a week w/out a day off for 3-4months at a time then get about 3 months off then go do it again

you probably won't die and they pump your stomach and that really sucks, so i would advise against it.

and besides, suicide is giving up... losers. losing to life, hah. we'll see who's better, life or me.

That's not a good idea. If you need to talk about things you can PM me or MSN me. Trust me, I've been through a lot in my life, including taking pills with the hope of what you're thinking of.

Think of those that care about you. They don't want to see you go. There's no need to take your life.

It's 50F degrees where I am right now and this is too cold for me. I grew up in 80F all year long, I miss that.

and I thought I was cold when I go out on the boat at 6 am, when the waves hitting the boat immediatly turn to ice upon contact with the boat's deck. And its only like 30F (sorry I don't know the temp in C)

Posted by zarathustra on Dec-12-2003 03:11:

It was -20C here today without factoring the windchill. That means they'll be flooding the rinks
