Red Jerry remixed a version.
Iv'e got the original 12 inch vinyl which in my opinion can't be beaten !(yet). Its BPM from memory was about 128.
The sound clip does sound like the original with the tune sped up and some sort of home remix made. To me the hook and synth have been chopped and pasted back together to stagger the sound off beat.

This can be achieved with a DJM 500/600 mixer in a live mix by
flicking the effects button on/off say if you select a delay/reverb setting with the appropriate parameter control.

Best guess is the tune was altered with some software where the staggered effect was cut/sliced back in the alter the overall effect
to sound like a form of remix. Erm, not sure you will get to the bottom of this tune M8.

now i listent it cairfully, you may be right it is live made..
If you listen @ 01:54 you hear a double beat..

I really feel this is home made or Big Balls attempt to create a live remix. My moneys with a "filler" chop/splice cd creation with a running beat before it goes into the original break beat and off again into the hard house beats. You point out the beat @ 1.54 , this confirms a "fat" and slightly off tune beat. It happens if I loop on my Pioneer CMX5000 unless you spend ages fiddling. I therefore conclude its a CD created sample for added creativity for the mixed set.

GREAT TUNE THOUGH I STILL LOVE THIS BABY.....hands in the air if you just don't care and start stompin.
