Thumbs down The ACT yell

Well, I just got back from taking the ACT..... frankly, I feel quite used. Twenty-five bucks and 6 hours of SATURDAY MORNING TIME later, I realize that I probably just wasted all those things for a subpar label in the form a number! I didn't study at all and I am probably going to get like a 15 or something. It was too damn early to concentrate on this test, they don't feed you, and I had other things on my mind, like my ex.......... *sigh

(* puts on Oceanlab - Satellite (Markus Schulz Coldharbour Remix) and everything doesnt seem so bad......)

the act is easy, i'm sure you'll get higher then a 15. i got a 24 and was up all night the night before practicing with my band. that was 10 years ago.

in the west coast (depending on which school you are applying to),

you take the SAT I: Reasoning and / or have a choice of taking the

SAT II or the ACT. most people take the SAT II.

$25 is cheap! The G.R.E.'s cost $110/attempt, also unlike the ACT/SAT the schools get all of your scores. So if you take it 3 times, the grad schools get all 3 scores. I took the ACT in the summer before my senior year of HS, I didnt think it was a big deal, a lot of people I knew found it difficult. Oh well, that was awhile ago. . . .

$25 is really cheap. I took the LSAT last week and that really sucked. I spent over $200 in all of the fees that were required.

All of a sudden $25 and some wasted time doesnt seem so bad! Thanks for the pick me up!

I got a 26. Piece of cake. I did it half asleep too... I was too lazy though to take it again to get two points higher to get a 100% scholarship.

The ACT is a standardized test that is used for high school students applying to college/uiniversity.

It is similar to the SAT though it has a smaller scale (36 is the highest possible).

The ACT is superior (IMHO) in one major way. Unlike the SAT which penalizes you 1/8 of a point for each incorrect answer the ACT is based only on correct answers with no penalties. Educated guessing is an important skill which the SAT actually penalizes takers for using.
